Thank you Kevin. My husband was a disabled 21 year veteran when he died of service-connected causes at 47 years old. I spent 10 years with him during his active military career and loved it, so I can relate to a lot of this video. But mostly it makes me sad to think what has happened to the world in the last 8 to 10 years, and makes me wonder what military life is REALLY like today. We only see pictures and hear rumors. I was with another disabled veteran for 29 years until he died from cancer so I'm a widow twice. I guess I'm tougher than I thought!

Nightowl, you are definitely stronger than most people, I can imagine the hard days you've been through. I like war movies such as 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'Band of Brothers', but there aren't many movies about those survived but very unfortunate veterans, probably 'Forrest Gump' was one of the few, although it's more like a fairy tale. Thanks for sharing your story!

There were quite a few good days mixed in with the bad. I had two sweet daughters! I'm living with one of them now.
