Gardening is a hobby of mine so I thought I would show you some of my flowers. My favorites are peonies, clematis and tulips. I grow everything organically. By using lots of organic matter, the peonies turn out huge.

Those are truly beautiful flowers, HJ. One day, I'd love to have a garden, with flowers like those (and herbs, veggies and fruit too).

Peonies are a favorite of mine too and yours looks very rich. I have a few and I guess I need more compost... I've tried gardening but I wilt in the heat so I have a hard time keeping up. My beds are always a mess so I've taken to perennials, bushes, and colorful ground cover. I just wish someone would come an do the garden for me. Gardening is an art and I especially like Japanese gardens, as well as those planted by grandma.

Im not too much into gardening however I will mow the lawn two or three times a year whether it needs it or not.

On the other I do like to build stuff and things. So here are a bunch of pictures of past projects.

The first one is dedicated to scorpiotiger.
Nothing real fancy here just a cloth print stapled around a wood frame to be a picture on the wall. Although it has a dual usage as a speaker grill for the stereo.

To give the picture a little more life I added two tiny yellow LEDs for the pupils of it eyes. These light up at night when the rest of my LED lamps turn on.

This is not a good picture but you get the idea.

Outside patio led light

The latest inside led lights in ceiling light in small shower.

In the time before LEDs there were floor lamps.

Lamp is turned on&off (three step dimmer) by touching metal plate on one of horizontal arms.

This one is just some old copper plumbing pipe and a few pieces of wood.

From floor lamps we move on to table lamps, three of many.

1 of 2 Leather covered lamps. Shade is single layer of cotton yarn wrapped around a wood frame.
Emergency back-up lighting system next to it.

Again 1 of 2 lamps sitting on custom end tables that also serve as storage cabinets.

Lamp made from scrape pieces of walnut.

Too many pictures continued in next thread.

Dont have a picture of it but made a table lamp for next-door neighbors daughter when she moved into new home. This was your average size table lamp consisting of a rectangular column sitting on a rectangular base nothing particularly unusual except the on/off switch was mount in the base. However when the lamp was turned on a small motor was also started. This motor over a period of about 20 minutes would slowly raise and lower the lamp and its shade. When fully extended the height of the lamp grew by 15 inch.

Along that same line the following pedestal is actually a very show rotating turn table. It is like watching the hands of a clock move, yet every time someone looks at it the little doggy is looking in a different direction.

Of course even more useless then that is the Green Blob.

It spends its time by lighting up with a pulsating green light, or spinning around, or have an antenna pot up & down or the eye come out and searches around and beeps and buzzes while doing this. Other then that it just sits there.

Also have some electric candles.

All wood candelabra. The flame is a small neon lamp. (NE-2)

Same idea only using wooden candles in a purchased candle holder. Does not produce blinding light but in a darken room you can walk around without bumping into things.

Next we have colorful book shelf for weird sized books.

Lastly have a small wall storage shelf, cabinet, and clock.

After removing some door molding around opening to entrance foyer it just fits on a 15 foot wall.

Why would you like to use an online editor? Slow, uploading, very limited functionalities, only drawbacks to me.

I just played with it. I have a broadband connection, so it wasn't slow, but a dial up connection takes a long time to process images.

I use a commercial one, but there are lots of free image editors for simple tasks, such as IrfanView. I can't name more at the moment, but there are tons of them out there.
