Default Sad news

I am sad to have to tell the forum that Texas Shabby Chic's husband died recently, after a very long time of serious illness. Thanks to just me for telling us about this.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Texas Shabby Chic in this time of bereavement, and we wish her strength and peace to cope with the present time, and with the future.

TSC hasn't posted here for some months as she was fully occupied helping to nurse her husband.

That's harsh, and maybe not having been here that long, I have no actual right to post this, but of course I feel for a fellow N.M member, and hope that said member, finds a way to get over this very difficult junction in their life, as quickly as is humanly possible, and I wish much luck and best wishes to all those, who are going through this first hand right now.

Boss, you are a member here, and have as much right as anyone else to be compassionate and thoughtful to a fellow member. Thank you for your kindly post. No-one has heard from TSC for a long while and there are many here who will not know anything about her. But we still feel for her.

Oh yes, same here. Gerry is sadly missed. People who were helped by him in the past, for instance, a friend in Scotland who needed help with her dog - she was in tears when I told her the news. Me too.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss, TSC. This is very sad news indeed.

My hope is that you'll allow yourself to grieve fully and then eventually heal. Please try to take good care of yourself along the way and don't hesitate to ask for help from those that care. I'm certain that your husband would want that. And, I'm certain that your friends and family would welcome the chance to help you through this devastating time.

That is what I tell my wife ... in the event of my passing ... please take the best possible care of yourself and (when you're ready) live life to it's fullest. Never give up.

I wish you and all yours all the best.
