Default Acid Rains for the Gulf

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v==player_embedded

This man was one of the first to take courage and go into the no fly zone so that the people can have an unbiased and uncontrolled view of the gulf.

He has gone out again on July 19th and came home after 5 hours of flying with his airplane coated in orange oil. Reports the next day say that acid rains fell with the ph of 5. People got sick from it.

Had to be something else. Most water out of a tap or lake or river have pH values in the 5-6 range due to dissolved CO2. pH 5 is within normal limits.

I'm not at all surprised at this sad/bad info.
And, it will be a horribly Looong time before any improvements.
I see where BP is getting rid of Hayward. I guess he's too much of an
embarrassment to BP. Also, BP is way behind in their payouts to all gulf
areas/states - companies, individuals, everyone.
I've also been reading where BP's stock will be worth Zilch probably before
2012!

5.5 The pH scale is a logarithmic one so a pH of 4 will have 10 times more acid than that of 5. When they discuss acid rain, they usually mean a pH below 5, but also, I am more curious as to what other crap is in the rain besides acid ions. With them burning all that oil, I bet there are some real nasties.
