Default HFS withdraws apricot seeds.

I saw this yesterday and meant to post it here. Someone on another forum has done the work for me!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

POISON WARNING OVER APRICOT SEEDS

Apricot seeds, which contain B17, have been used for years as an alternative treatment for cancer. This interference by the Food Standards Agency could herald an opening battle on a future ban, especially now the European Union is getting involved.

Make sure to read all the reader's comments as well. Seems like more and more people are "in the know."

Thanks for the reminder Gerry, I read the readers' comments too, and it seemed like reading our own forum posts on the subject.

We are all getting wise to media manipulation by now.

Looks like a case of don't do that, take a lab manufactured version of B17, Laetrile instead. That way Pharmaceuticals can make more money.

What exactly is it about Gaia based medicinal options, that really scares the crap out of Pharmaceutical companies? Got to be more than a possible dent in profits?

We have duplicated several studies done in Europe and North America in an attempt to ascertain if there is an anti-tumour activity that can be released by amygdalin. We found no therapeutic effect but some toxic influences in some participants.
When combined with concomitant administration of curcumin however, there was a strong tendency to apoptosis not observed with curcumin alone. The study will be published in the New Medical Journal in a forthcoming issue.

Very interesting information, Doc. I'll keep an eye out for that research.

Did the combination also seem to prevent the toxic influences that the amygdalin produced on it's own?

No it did not. We Indians eat much curcumin as you may be aware, it prevents several cancers and can influence some existing cancers.

Curcumin sounds like a double edged sword then really doesn't it, from what you say.

Presumably though if someone was taking Curcumin, or having it administered, for a type of Cancer it prevents, it wouldn't be capable of spawning a secondary Cancer type, presumably it can only act negatively with some Cancers when they're present, it can't stimulate Cancers to form, from say Foci, or pre-cancerous cells for example.
