Default Wrist pain/discomfort

I had a THUMB injury which I immobilized for some time with a brace. This brace doubled as a wrist immobilizer. It was basically like a glove.

Look up:Ossur formfit thumb spica

Anyways, I took it off in October (It's January now) and I still feel pain discomfort around that wrist region. This is only on my right wrist. Remember the initial injury was a thumb related one. But now I have pain/discomfort on my wrist. I'm thinking having my wrist immobilized was not a good idea.

PS. No I can't see a doctor. I'm just looking for some insight if you can offer some.

I put the same brace on my other hand for less time only 3 weeks and don't have the same problem.

Do you have full range of motion?

If your range of motion is normal, even if it hurt some you need physical therapy on the wrist and arm. Sorry I don't know physical therapy much but generally light weight exercise, and I mean light weight, to strengthen and stretch gently, over time will resolve a lot of issues. Do a search for physical therapy for the wrist and see what you find. Maybe youtube will have some videos.

I would consider Craniosacral therapy or Acupuncture or something similar, whatever is available near you.
