Default MMS in a hot tub???

Being the skin is I think the largest organ of the body and I know we do all we can to avoid standard chlorine in city water, but I guess the chlorine dixoide is different...(still trying to learn about mms) could you use a form of mms or mms2 as a sanitizer for hot tubs and because the pores of the skin are open due to the heat, I believe whatever is in the water is absorbed by the skin, maybe a form of chlorine dixoide would be better to use than the chlorine for spas and maybe get some health benefit from...just thinking...

Sodium Chlorite would keep a hot tub clean and it does not need to be activated. If you activated it it would only stay as chlorine dioxide for a few hours. Sodium chlorite is used by some water districts to purify water.

Been doing some research myself today and a company that ONLY sell sodium chlorite to business for specific purposes told me they are using this more these days in the food and water purification industries, but I can't find where to purchase it as maybe it would be better than the standard chlorine which I believe is sodium hypochloride....still trying to learn all I can about this.

Arrowwind I would like your opinion on...
In a hot tub your pores are open and I believe absorbing whatever is in the water and we use a product which uses silver and zink ions and a ozonater but still have to use diclor...we can only stay in a shot time due to itching (we have some minor skin problems/allergies) and I don't like the idea of soaking up diclor...do you think sodium chlorite would be the best choice to replace diclor or...I would think this could help out quite a few.

Default mms in hot tub

to disinfect you want chlorine dioxide in your hot tub,it is safer and far superior to regular chlorine.some pools use it.it wil break down into carbon dioxide and salt.

you also can use it in your tub,for mms therapy.
1-clean tub very good.
2-put 20-30 drops mms and 100-150 drops lemon,lime,or 10% citric acid solution,(or 20-30 drops of 50% citric acid solution).
mix together to activate ,wait 3-5 minutes, mix in warm to hot water.
take bath for 30 monutes covering whole body.open eyes underwater.
rinse
this is a great way to get mms into your blood plasma.

actually the cities use CHLORINE DIOXIDE,to purify their water, which is sodium chlorite activated with an acid.(mms=sodium chlorite)chlorie dioxideis mms ACTIVATED.this is what is curing a lot of people and is what is used to purify city water in some cases.

cyber-if dichlor is regular chlorine,it is poisonous when it reacts to human skin.some spas now use chlorine dioxide which is non toxic to your skin.its mms1 activated.

mr Chlorite,

what product are they using, do you know the name? I never heard of purchasing chlorine dioxide for a tub. I thought it had to be made on the spot.

Cyber-junkie, we only use ozone in our tub. Maybe you don't really need the other stuff. I change our tub water every 3 to 4 months. The ozone alone works well.

I have a neighbor that uses only H2O2 for her tub. I will have to ask her about it..

I wonder how you get away with it?....my hot tub has a ozonator and I use the Natures 2 product but if I don't add a oxidizer also the water gets cloudy within 1 week, I have a pearl color spa and you can see the water real well, I have tried almost every product on the market and N2 helps me keep the chlorine demand low but won't let me go with out using chlorine or that mono stuff.
If I could figure out how to use sodium chlorite, I think it would be better and maybe do me some good but I am guessing.

Default purification

possibly if your tub is cloudy AND you have an ozonator,MABY the ozonator is not up to the job and you need a better ozonator.
this is not my field of expertise,BUT periodic applications of MMS1 with citric acid(50%, 1 to 1 mix ratio, multiply,to desired effect.)to create chlorine dioxide WILL get rid of the cloudy water.
I believe there are devices which mix on the spot sodium chlorite with an acid to produce chlorine dioxide for swimming pools and conversly hot tubs.
Again ,i believe some progressive cities use chlorine dioxide to purify their drinking water and their wastewater.i don't believe they use soduim chlorite only, since chlorine dioxide is much more powerful by weight.
https://jimhumble.biz/biz-brochure.pdf
this explains the chemistry of chlorine dioxide, known as mms activated to its proponents (of which I am one, using orally for 2 months now.)

i am also using mms2,orally,78%,in a 0 size vegetarian capsule, filled up 25%,40%,50%,up to 70%,and in extreme cases-90-100%(for serious flu).with the new baxter international bioweapon flu,(similar to ebola,or pneumonic plague,-black death, which currenty is kiling people in urkraine.turns your lungs into mush.BUT with mms1 and mms2 you can survive.use mms1 orally AND breath the fumes,to prevent viral, bacterial build up in lower lungs and subsequent over reaction of bodies defense(due to 3 vaccine bioweapon),causing cytokine storme in the llungs.IT wont happen if mms1 activated is inhaled and taken oraly,or inenema,or IV,or in a tub.PLUS mms2 taken will help.to killgerms.
BUT I DIGRESS,mms2 is calcuim hypochlorite, aka pool shock.use this in your hot tub and the breakdown wont be toxic, its hypochlorous acid which your own body makes to kill germs.BE CAREFUL to only use calcuim hypochlorite pool shock, since there are 2 other types which will poison you if use in a theraputic method.

an ozone generator that you can breath is ALSO aal LIFESAVER against this new killer since it can kill in 12 hours.breath for hours if needed to save your life.
allicin-c and oxy-c to be taken also for the killer flu.
and

nebulize the silver and breath.

Hi,

When I was shopping for the MMS2, I could not get it at a spa store, I had to go to a pool supply. From what I was told, the MMS2 should not be used in spas because it will damage the plastic shell.

I keep my spa clean with Nature 2, and hydrogen peroxide. I am on my 20th straight month of clear water.

The Nature 2 says to change it in some months, but I've found that if you carefully break open the cartridge, you can clean the beads with toilet bowl cleaner or spa descaler to get the mineralization off. You probably don't really need to open the casing, but I like to see what's happening. I got 4-1/2 years out of my first one. I gave up on it when there were holes in the silver shot. (I drilled a hole in the casing so I could put a wire through so it doesn't separate and spill the beads into the pump works.)

I was getting my peroxide at Sally Beauty, labeled as clear developer. I recently switched to food grade 35% hydrogen peroxide. The inconvenience there is that it's so concentrated you have to be careful not to get it on your skin. At 3%, like you get at the pharmacy, it doesn't bother the skin much. At the beauty supply places, they sell it ranging from 6 to 12%. Six doesn't bother too much, but twelve turns your skin white and stings. So, imagine how the 35% will bite! How much to put in is not hard to gauge. I put in about a quarter cup (or half, if it's the 12%) in a fresh tub, then just add a shot more when you see oil or flakes in the water, every few days or so. I have not had my water go murky like it did when I was using the chemicals, except the time my husband dumped his chocolate milk in.

Whenever I tell a spa store clerk that I use Nature 2 with peroxide, they tell me that you have to use chlorine with it, and peroxide won't work. Tell that to my tub! I've been doing that for over 5 years, and usually, I have to empty the tub for other reasons than water quality (dead pump, the last time). I have a small leak, so I am not worried about salt buildup. In fact, I got a total dissolved solids meter from the fish store, and last I checked, there was not even twice the amount of parts per million of fresh tap water.

I think if I were to want to soak in either MMS1 or MMS2, I would do it in a bath tub. I hate the smell of the stuff so much that I don't want to put it in my spa. I like a smell-free spa.

Spider, thanks for the info, I may try the H2O2 but wonder about it balancing the water chemistry, do you keep an eye on your Ph, CA, Total alkalinity, hardness etc.? As this has to be fairly well balanced for a hot tub to stay in good working order.
I know that regular chlorine does work and you can keep the water stabilized with it so I would think you could do the same with sodium chlorite, I just wonder if you would have to activate it to some degree (ie. maybe 1:1) to get it to react to the water, create free chlorine and keep the water balanced?...And I would think some free chlorine would be good for killing anything that starts to grow and with warm water, stuff seems to grow easily...at least that's what I observe.

Whenever I check the alkalinity and pH, it always comes out in range. The water I have here is perfect going in, and I haven't actually found the water out of range since using this recipe. The only time I've had murkiness is after a lot of people soaked, and that cleared right up after adding another shot of peroxide. I just haven't had any growth problems since using this recipe.

The problem I see with sodium chlorite in the tub is pH. It activates in an acid environment, and the tub is going to be a little alkaline. It may be that the sodium chlorite may activate when it comes in contact with something that it will clean up, but I'm not going to count on that. If you put an activating acid in the tub, it may be buffered by the generally alkaline water allowing a small reservoir of the right ions for activation. Or, it may just plain react to the alkaline ions and be gone (turning to some salt), leaving nothing to activate the sodium chlorite. I would bet on the latter. I doubt that it will work to keep the tub clean while keeping the water alkaline, and if the tub goes acid, then that is going to harm the equipment and probably be a better environment for bacteria.

Thanks for the info!
I will give your h2o2 a try, I have had a hot tub for several years and "they" say h2o2 has been tried many times and does not work.....but why does that not surprise me?
