Default Music that holds your head up high

Music is often a great way of increasing happiness or making someone feel better emotionally. What types of songs do you listen to? What bands? What songs in particular?

When I am in a bad mood, I listen to Three Days Grace. Their songs are very negative, for instance, one song is titled "I Hate Everything About You." It helps loosen your anger. It is heavy metal rock.

When I am in a good mood, I listen to Green Day. Their Punk Rock Style songs like "American Idiot" or "Holiday" let me appreciate life for some reason.

When I am in a partying mood, I listen to The Beatles, Kiss, The Doors, Black Sabbath, etc. It increases my adrenaline rush, lol.

Hi Spideyfanman, I'm a LOT older than you, but I grew up on rock and roll, also like new wave, punk, reggae and blues. I like Green Day too, and of course all the classics like Led Zepplin, Doors, Neil Young, etc., etc. The DON'T likes, are heavy metal, rap/hip/hop.

There's sooo many good songs that I like, I'll just throw a couple your way. The Church (Under the Milky Way), Dream Academy (Life In A Northern Town), Coldplay (Yellow), Train (Drops of Jupiter) and Peter Gabriel (Red Rain)

I am probably one of the only teens to like Johnny Cash (favorite songs: I walk the line, Burning ring of fire, ghost riders in the sky).

I HATE rap/reggea/hip-hop/death metal (different from heavy metal)

Johnny Cash's "The Man Comes Around" is a heavy song.
