\nThey know better than you or I that carbohydrates metabolise to glucose so the more carbohydrates you consume the more cancer will be diagnosed.

\nIf instead of promoting carbohydrate consumption they promoted carbohydrate restriction the conequence would be people would natuirally consume less and have a better appetite control and be more likely to exercise more.

\nIf saturated fat was a higher percentage of macronutrient intake we would eat less be in ketosis more often and have fewer high blood glucose spikes and a more even energy level thoughout the day.

Too much grains leading to high calorie intake. Most all these cancers could be traced back to free radical damage and not getting too much sun.

Ha Ha, Thats why the people the article is talking about are those who regularly go on package holidays to Spain or Portugal. They can get cheap flights from UK to Spain for under �40($68) and usually imbibe too much food,drink and sunshine. Some go 2 or 3 times a year as it costs no more than living at home.

I dont know about steak or fish & chips, I think most of the food on the Costa Bravo where these tourists take their holidays is McDonalds and KFC. I suppose thats just as bad.

\nCant agree about the sun not damaging you. My neighbor used to walk 2 hours a day in English sunshine with no hat and got skin cancer which spread to his brain and lungs and he was very particular about his diet.\r\n

Drinking,smoking,obesity and the legacy of holidays in the sun are fuelling a sharp rise in cancers in the UK. Unhealthy lifestyle choices have led to large increases in liver, mouth,womb,kidney and skin cancers since 2003, figures show.

Liver cancer has shown the biggest increase � leaping by 66 per cent � while skin cancer increased by 61 per cent. Cancers of the mouth rose by 48 per cent, womb cancer by 31 per cent and kidney cancer by 46 per cent.
