\r\nI have been advised to take asprin during my pregnancy as i have a history of early miscarriage - is there a natural alternative and what qualities would i need to take so as not be a risk to the baby?

\r\nI was thinking of eating raw garlic with oil (to wash it down) but i don\'t want to take too much or too little. I understand that Cayenne is good too.

Garlic and cayenne are both good for putting in your recipes, no harm there. What is the purpose of the aspirin in reducing your chance of miscarriage?

\r\n \r\n Thank you for your responses Mommysunshine and Kind2creatures. They has advised me to take asprin as there is a small chance I have an issue with my blood clotting. They have run lots of tests, the majority of which came up normal but there was one result was neither positive or negative to clotting so they are running more tests but in the mean time my consultant suggested I may want to take asprin. she did not prescibe it and said it was up to me and that it would not cause any harm to the baby, but I have read it can cause misscarriage so i am rather confused.

\r\n \r\n Omega3 from fish oil or plants is good for thinning the blood and many other things. My cardiologists always asks if I take omega3 supplements. I say yes - daily. He says I won\'t need statins in that case. No way am I taking statins, and he knows it.

\nIf you were not pregnant, I would recommend nattokinase, but there is very insufficient data regarding pregnant mothers and this. In Japan, natto is a staple breakfast item. It is fermented soybeans. Nattokinase is an enzyme which is the only known natural cure for thrombosis (blood clotting). But again, there is not enough data to ensure that it is OK for pregnant mothers. The only way I have found it is in health food stores, but there are oriental markets that have the food.\r\n

The human body isn�t terribly effective at converting ALA to either DHA or EPA, hence the need for added dietary intake or supplementation. (An interesting side nugget: women�s bodies are a little better at this conversion. Research has shown that young women convert 21% of ALA to EPA (compared to 8% in men) and 9% to DHA (compared to 0-4% in men). The difference, apparently, is linked to estrogen levels.)

Default Natural alternative to Asprin in pregnancy

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me.

I have been advised to take asprin during my pregnancy as i have a history of early miscarriage - is there a natural alternative and what qualities would i need to take so as not be a risk to the baby?

I was thinking of eating raw garlic with oil (to wash it down) but i don't want to take too much or too little. I understand that Cayenne is good too.

Any advice would be really appreciated.
