The extreme weather we are having here in Australia seems to be cyclic,according to history books we have had really bad fires and floods and drought back in the 1800s, I think its just that with the population growth and the amount of cattle we now have it seems worse because it is affecting people's lives more now due to the cattle and wild ferral animals eating out the vegetation which causes drought, more people are building homes in bushfire prone areas of bushland as well which doesn't help.
