Default And in other news...................

BOSTON (AP) Up to a foot of snow fell in parts of southern New England with the latest winter storm to move through the Northeast, national weather forecasters said Sunday.
The storm began Saturday afternoon and ended by Sunday morning, with some power outages but no reports of critical injuries or major property damage. Dry weather was expected for days in southern New England, although strong winds may chill the bones.
Meteorologist Frank Nocera of the National Weather Service in Taunton, Mass., said southern New England appeared to be the hardest hit.
Six to 12 inches of snow fell in Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut and eastern Massachusetts, including Foxborough where the New England Patriots play. The exception was at Boston and the Cape Cod area where rain was mixed with snow. There two to four inches fell. Many residents lost power after wet snow piled up on power lines.
The storm spread over the Northeast and parts of Ohio on Saturday, just days after the regions were hit by another storm that moved in from the nation's midsection.
New York City and Philadelphia saw a mix of rain and snow, and drivers throughout the regions were warned to be cautious. About 20 vehicles piled up in a storm-related chain-reaction crash on Interstate 93 in New Hampton, N.H., police said, and five people were injured.
Officials lowered the speed limit on much of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, about 300 miles from the Ohio state line to east-central Pennsylvania, from 65 mph to 45 mph. Flights at Philadelphia's airport, mostly arrivals, were delayed about an hour, spokeswoman Stacy Jackson said.
In Albany, N.Y., a regional jet skidded into a snow bank at the airport and became stuck, temporarily stranding passengers en route to Chicago. The 66 passengers and four crew members aboard the GoJet Airlines flight, operating as United Express, were put on a bus and sent back to the airport. There were no injuries, and the incident didn't cause any other flight delays, airport authority spokesman Doug Myers said.
In Ohio, Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati saw about 2 to 5 inches of snow by Saturday afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

Default Ooops, wrong England!!!!!!

The snowfall across Great Britain and Ireland in January 2013 refers to a prolonged period of snowfall that began on 14 January 2013, and affected large areas within much of Great Britain and Ireland.
An initial fall of heavy snow occurred in the early hours of 14 January that affected England, Wales, and Scotland.[1] Following this widespread snowfall, lighter but still considerable snowfall was reported on most days, except for a slight respite on 16 January. However, the worst of the snowfall arrived on 18 January across most of the UK. This led to the Met Office issuing a rare red warning for severe snowfall - the highest warning possible of its type - for parts of Wales on the 18th, while much of England was placed under an amber warning, the second-highest level, that same day. As well as heavy snow warnings, weather warnings were also issued across England and Wales due to ice, especially on 19 January. Also, the Met Office declared a Level 3 Cold Weather Alert across England, the second-highest level for cold weather in this special advanced warning system, on most days following 14 January.[2] Another band of heavy snow crossed the UK, this time from the south to the north, on 20-21 January.
Snowfall forced the cancellation of flights at a number of British airports, including Birmingham, Heathrow, and Southampton.[3] At Heathrow, more than 400 flights were cancelled on 18 January,[4] followed by over 100 more during the morning of 19 January[5] and 20% of the total number of flights on 20 January.[6] There was also widespread disruption to other forms of transport across the UK, with many roads, even some major routes, becoming blocked and impassable. As many as 3,000 schools were closed in England,[7] while in Northern Ireland, heavy snow downed power lines, leaving over 2,400 homes along the eastern coast of County Down without power.[8] Further large power cuts were reported in the towns of Banbridge and Craigavon, also in Northern Ireland.

You're an expert on British weather, Mr Goat?
We had an exceptionally dry spring. An exceptionally wet summer. An exceptionally wet winter (i.e. rain not snow because its been so mild)
2012 was England's wettest year on record.
Our weather patterns shifted distinctly this year, as has happened elsewhere.

And what has all this got to do with the Andes glaciers retreating?

I'm really, really hoping that your weather will be more mild by the last week of May when I will be sampling it myself. Wishing and hoping never worked for me however.

The Andes situation is real scary. I worry about our fresh water throughout the world. Even migration won't help. There's really nowhere that people, especially millions can go. A few years ago, the only water reservoir for the Atlanta GA area was drying up due to drought. They spent very much money to pipe water from a reservoir in North and South Carolina. Southern California could not survive without diverting water from the Colorado river or water from northern California. The Austin Texas area has been in a drought for nearly a decade, yet the population keeps expanding. There's not enough work being done with desalination of ocean waters.

The melting of ice in the Greenland and Iceland area is dumping fresh water into the Atlantic. I suspect this is changing the nature of the Gulf Stream and affecting your climate in UK. The warm/hot Gulf of Mexico is certainly affecting my winter weather in Austin. Yesterday our winter temp got up to 80F (27C), very pleasant for me, but very unusual for winter. We've had a week of that kind of climate. Even the fire ants are constructing their forts, when they should still be deep in the soil. This is a bad omen for another possible record breaking heat for summer.

Last week in May. If I was touring England that would be the week I'd choose, or probably the week before to avoid the Whitsun bank holiday/half-term. The weather is usually very good at that time.
What parts are you going to visit? If you've time, you've got to see the Cotswolds. The heart of England.

Yes, though ironically in the first 2 or 3 months of last year large parts of England were under drought orders! No danger of that this year!

I agree with what you say, water will be the oil of the 21st century. Some places are going have too much, detrimentally so and some places are going to have too little.

The Texas drought has been well reported here. In the short term it means loss of crops, In the medium term it means erosion of the top soil. In the long term, rising population, impoverished soil, decline in food supply and dwindling water resources...Many civilizations in times past have fallen through similar scenarios.

This is true even for the Andes. Recent investigation leans toward such a scenario for the Incas. Machu Picchu was very probably abandoned even before the arrival of the Spanish, perhaps as a result of the Incas' civil war. Or perhaps it was drought that drove the Incas elsewhere.

BTW, I will be renting an apartment in Edinburgh and take day trips elsewhere.

I think you better get prepared for a nasty storm coming your way very soon. More powerful that hurricane Sandy. https://thewatchers.adorraeli.com/201...orth-atlantic/

Weather can be determined with solar happenings, correct and those pesky jet streams determine certain weather changes, correct?

AND...methane. Is there a HIGHER than normal amount in the ionosphere causing the warming...drying up the reserves, causing bizarre weathers?

And why do I keep reading about "THE FLOODS"? That there will be MORE in areas not prone? Is this real? April floods?

How do they "predict" weather fluctuations? How can someone predict that one area is going to suffer dry conditions and others will be flooded? help

Dane Wigington claims cataclysmic event in 2015 if this continues. That the current program to ASSIST the globe - is in fact, doing the OPPOSITE. We are NOT warming - we are COOLING while the METHANE is melting and all hell is breaking loose.

This "procedure" has been ongoing for 6 decades. Now? We are in trouble.

#1. EXPOSE CHEMTRAILS TO THE PUBLIC

You Can Expose Chemtrails in 30-to-300 Seconds
We have spoken to many people about chemtrails. Guess what we discovered.
Most people have no idea that this is taking place, but when they are told about it, most of them immediately begin to ask questions. Some even begin to wonder if their ailments are related to it.
Its amazing the difference that simple exposure can make.
Please, take a couple minutes each day to do something. The ongoing effects of your simple actions have far Preview Changes more influence than you realize.

As many others have done, Dr. Sarah Cornell uses the implausibility of aerosol spraying as a means of climate mitigation to argue that it is not happening so that we should ignore the evidence of our senses. Absurdities like this derail dialogue. We have to make sure that it doesn't derail dialogue for us also.
Quote:
The first step required for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde to become an integrated entity is that the demands give way to a question: “Is the spraying of substances from aircraft an acceptable answer to the problem of climate change?”

The mass media’s, the politicians’ and climate scientists’ answer to the question has so far been: “No, it isn’t, and it isn’t happening!”
Civil society’s and climate scientists’ answer to the question must become: “No, it isn’t, and it is happening.”

Final comment from W.H.

Quote:
It seems that aerosol operations (including what we call ‘chemtrails’) have been effective in mitigating some of the symptoms of climate change. Anthropogenic climate change sceptics have taken advantage of this ‘success’ of their opponents to reinforce their own assertion that anthropogenic climate change is not occurring!! If the aerosol operations were conducted with full transparency and full cognizance of the public, trickery of this kind would be impossible because the relations between cause and effect would be obvious. But as things are, the lies are mutually self-reinforcing. The deceit that no deliberate spraying of aerosols is in progress strengthens the deceit that anthropogenic climate change is a myth. How many climate scientists worry about the fact that by concealing mitigation activities they strengthen the hand of ‘greenhouse sceptics’, i.e. climate change debunkers.

happy2bhere, I agree once again with your comments, and as well the volcanic erruptions are causing a lot of pollution, I listened to a talk back radio show the other night where Lord Monkton was talking about climate change it was very interesting and went for 4 hours, I will see if I can find a link to the transcript and post it on here.
