I'm trying Saffron for my macular degeneration. I'm just starting on it so will have to see if it helps. I know it hasn't been FDA approved but I don't pay much attention to FDA and scientific recommendations anyhow. I've seen too many of their recommendations kill people. Saffron is just a spice that's been used for years.
Has anyone else tried Saffron?

I don't use Saffron, but here's some info on it, not really about macular degeneration though...http://www.healthyfellow.com/591/saffron-research/ I have an old herb book, and it doesn't mention at all using saffron for eye health.

Just type 'Saffron for macular degeneration' in your search engine and you will see a lot of articles about it. Sounds like it's worth trying since it doesn't have any side effects and is just a spice.
