And this lady is painful. But every yr around this time I get this numbness, tingling sensation in my outer right thigh which when I get to 2 plus miles on the track starts to increase and then burns like crazy at 3 miles. Have done this before and it definitely does help.

Massage - one of life's pleasures. I agree with k2c, hope it helps. Do you have any broken blood vessels on that leg where it hurts?

No, it is actually a back problem and the massage relieves the pressure from the nerve that is being pinched.

Can a chiropractor help? Dr. Jensen was a chiropractor and he said that patients need to supplement with magnesium in order for the adjustments to hold. Magnesium relaxes. I've got stretches to do daily to help correct my imbalances that developed over the years of improper body mechanics. If only I did them. How was your massage?

You didn't mention if you've been to a chiropractor? My husband is afraid of them; He has back problems but a chiro specializes in nerve issues. I was also wondering why do you get this the same time of the year. If you have allergies, then that would make sense because the irritants can thicken your blood and cause some of the symptoms you described.

I think whatever the issue is, working the greek festival aggravates it

varies, right now new balance and I do need orthotics, I know that
I've used New Balance in the past, and like them for their wide sizes, bought only that brand for many years. However, since I had started having issues with plantar fasciitis years ago, I switched to Saucony, more comfortable and cushioned...got good results when I was on my feet on cement floors at work all day. I like the looks of NB better, but my foot health comes first now. I see people using those Dr. Scholl machines for shoe inserts at Walmart, did you ever check them out? I know you're a big fan of Wallyworld. :p

Finally hit the track. No the massage was a waste this time. She concentrated on my it band and it was in pain (even still a little) and she did nothing with my back. Time to find a new one and then if no relief, Chiropractor
