hey guys new here! sup?

Well,

Monday is when my journey started. Used some debrox ear wax removal stuff in bth ears. Worked for my left side, but right side felt very full and eventually by tuesday i was having pain when i chewed and swallowed, etc in right ear. Was going to go to the doctor the next day for it. Instead however I looked up natural remedys for ear infections/ear aches. Found the lemon juice one,how the acid in the juice balances the ph levels of the ear. Eliminates bacteria, etc. So I used it tuesday night and my ears felt funny, but next day wednesday my ears will still feeling weird and stuff but there was no pain anymore,i have been still using the lemon juice one,how the acid in the juice balances the ph levels of the ear. I have been still using the lemon juice n them in morning and night, and i did today at 11am,and still hours later I am having tingling, and weird feelings in mostly my right ear,so I dont know whats going on. Not sure if they are still in the process of healing or something, and actually right now the right one is hurting a very small bit. I did it right,I have been using fresh lemon juice,I just dont know about these weird symptoms. If they are from the healing process or a setback..or what..

thanks

Hi Kevinnadar1, Wow, I have never heard of using lemon juice, but I can understand why it would work... At my house, we use hydrogen peroxide and ear candles and cajeput oil... We put about 4or 5 drops of hydrogen peroxide into the ear and let it bubble for a bit... then we let it drain out, and then use an ear candle on that ear. You can find ear candles at the health food store, and they usually have directions of how to use them... After the ear candles, I put a few more drops of hydrogen peroxide into the ear and let it bubble for a few more minutes...I then put some cajeput oil (sister oil to tea tree oil, which would work just as well I imagine) underneath the ear, I make a line or two across the glands that are right there under the ear (is it glands or ????) but cajeput oil is an antibacterial, so hopefully I am killing any type of infection that we might have in the ears... It has worked for us everytime...Everyonce in awhile, we might have to do two candles on one ear because of excess build up, but it all seems to keep the ear infections down.

Ear candles? You may want to hop on wikipedia for that one. They have been thoroughly debunked as pointless and potentially harmful. Any results you see will also happen without placing the candle in an ear.

For my son, who has irregular ear canals we use warm water to soften the wax that builds up and then gently coax the 'plugs' out of his ears. Once he even managed to flush a solid plug out on his own with warm water flushing.

I'll have to go check the lemon juice idea, but whenever he's irritated we can usually find a plug either by flushing or taking him to the clinic for a peek into his ears.

If the lemon juice brought you this far I would keep it up.
I would also add just straight hydrogen peroxide 3%
two times a day. Fill the ear canal. Let it bubble in the ear until it stops bubbling.

Hydrogen peroxide on its own can get rid of most ear infections. Do not expect things to work in just one or two days. We have to give antibiotics a week or more! Of course natural things sometimes work much faster. The key is...are you feeling a little better each day? If so proceed.

Well, Lex87, have you ever tried ear candles? We have been using ear candles for at least ten years now. They have saved us from many many doctors visits. I cant prove to you that they work, but I continue to prove to myself and the folks who try it on my suggestions. I have a disabled foster child, when we went in for our regular doctor visit last week, the doctor did say that she had some really bad ear wax built up in one ear. Asked me if I felt like I could take care of it, or if I needed them to do a flush. I told her, that I would do the ear candles, and we would go from there.. Did three ear candles, and got two big wads of ear wax out of the ear. Now I did follow the health food store's recommendation and put a couple drops of oil in the ear before we did it this time. My doctor felt like the ear candles would work.. She didnt show any hesitation or doubts about my use of candles, other then the concern of using them on a person diagnosed with mental retardation... Now, when you burn an ear candle, there is a white powder, that is the candle/wax residue, I understand that, but there is no way, that what I got out of her ears, and some of the stuff that I get out of other peoples ears could be the residue from the candles... You would be amazed at what you can learn, when you figure out that wiki is personal opinion, and not necessarily fact

A couple alternative suggestions

I don't know about the lemon juice as I have never tried it. Also have never used the candles but I'll tell you what I have used with great results.
When someone calls me with an earache and I know they won't have an herbal remedy handy I tell them to steam an onion, let it cool till just warm, then squeeze the juice into the ear. I most cases the pain will cease immediately. Be sure the drum is not perferated.
Another is to cut a piece of garlic just to fit into the outside of the ear like a hearing aid (not into the canal). You'll want to dip it in olive oil first.
Here's my favorite which I have used on both humans and animals and works great. I make a mixture of mullein flower (which have set in olive oil for a couple of weeks), St. John's Wort (the same) and Garlic (the same). I combine these (not really all that scientific) and use drops in the ears. It will take away pain and kill bacteria bringing lasting relief.
I had one client that had taken her dog to a couple of vets because of some kind of ear infection. I gave her enough of the mixture for a week and in less than a week the whole problem was solved.
I believe that God (for those who believe in God) gives us things things for our health and welfare and it is wise to use them.

Yikes, it hurts like a mother with straight hydrogen peroxide! I dilute it with water but I guess if you can stand it...

Colloidial silver worked really well for me for an ear infection.

Onion to kill the pain, interesting. Also interesting about the garlic. How does it work when it's not down in the ear? Garlics and onions, always the wonder remedies!

Use what's handy!

I have used the onion several times. One woman was in so much pain she was lying in bed sobbing. Her son called me and asked what to do. He called by around a half hour later and said it worked that fast. I did the same thing a couple of months later with her toddler.
The garlic works a little slower but the juices mixed with the olive oil seep right into the canal.
There are lots of remedies but these are usually pretty handy, plus they work quickly (especially the onion).

I have heard of the onion juice before....But never exactly knew how to cook up the onion... putting it in a steamer would seem the most logical answer. But then i would think that the water that was used to steam the onion would also have benefits if you drank it afterwards... thinking maybe some onion juice would fall into the water Yes????

We have used the garlic cut in half on the bottom of the feet. One of my grandkids were getting congested, so I pulled out everything i could think of... It was during the time everyone was hollering about getting the flu shots... so i didnt want them to even show a hint of sickness.. I used the candles and the cajeput oil on the ears, eucalyptus oil on the back and chest.. Vinegar in the vaporizer one round, and then eucalyptus in the vaporizer next round.. back and forth. Garlic on the feet...anything that i could think of... within a days time, they were back to normal with no signs of congestion.... Now I cant give credit to just one thing, but I think attacking with everything youve got is always the best bet!

Dull Earache

Last week I started having a dull earache in one ear. It would come and go, so I hoped it would just not come back.

Yesterday, I had it all day, very dull yet annoying pain. I don't feel comfortable putting Hydrogen Peroxide or Lemon in my ear. Last night, since I didn't have a raw garlic clove, I mixed some crushed garlic with extra virgin olive oil and warmed it in the microwave. I soaked one end of a piece of cotton with it, and slept with it in my ear.

This morning it was still there. I steamed an onion, and put the cooled juice in my ear, again plugging it with cotton. Had 2 applications so far, the ache is still there, will apply some again before bed. If I have any success, I'll post.

Just thought I'd update...didn't have any luck with the onion juice, the earache was gone for awhile, but then it came back.

Friday morning I went to the doctor to get it checked out, thought I might have an infection. He said both of my ears were in good and healthy condition. He thought since I had Hay Fever, maybe my sinuses were swollen and affecting my ear.

He gave me Flonase to get rid of any inflammation I may have and clear out my sinuses. Well, yesterday and most of today was fine, but the ear hurts again. I'm also taking a decongestant, but so far there's been no sign of anything clearing out, I really never felt stuffed up.

I didn't want to use that Flonase for more than a few days, I don't like using any type of steroids. :(
