 I just came from there! That's a good article..especially liked #4 LOL!

I must get 5 to 10 things a day on FB from farmtown users  but I'm not even on it, mainly because it's so darn time consuming! The only game I play online is a word scramble thingy on free-arcades or something like that.

FB is great for sharing pictures with friends/family & we just started a little health group to make it more convenient to share current events & health tidbits.

I get on facebook frequently, but only for a minute at a time. Some people on chat are on 12 hrs a day or more.

:yuck: Can't imagine being @ the computer that long! Are they really chatting all that time?

It could just appear that way. For instance, I'm home today so I'll be signed onto FB & a couple of other places all day, but the actual time spent in front of the pc is only a fraction of what it looks like coz I'm busy doin' stuff.

And right now I'm just lingering because the snowblower's callin' my name :p & I don't wanna go out there!! LOL

im lost, have no idea
I am so sharing this article on my facebook!!!!! Im addicted, but I dont play the games!!!! Cookie, share the health group!!!! when foster daughter was in the hospital, I told my kiddos that I was going thru withdrawals.... taking care of disabled people keeps me home alot...so keeps me on the comp alot... I need to get away from the computer and work out.... I would like to put a timer on it, so it goes off after so many hours.
Saved, apparently there is a way to stay signed into facebook from your phone, so that way if anyone post on your wall you get a message immediately...which sort of defeats the purpose in my book.... I post alot of articles about health and political stuff, no one reads them because they do facebook on their phones. I know its just another move to keep us dependant on the technology world, but its still a great way to share what info you can

Companies wishing to recruit staff for employment vacancies are increasingly using specialist firms who can draw up a profile of the applicants based on what they have written on social network sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

Young people especially need to be very careful what details they write on their facebook pages, as in today's recruitment market where there are more applicants chasing fewer jobs, indiscreet Facebook details can make someone lose out to a job, even though they may have the best qualifications.

A cousin of mine recently asked me to join her group on Facebook; I said, "No thanks not interested." :)
Way too time consuming & I've got enough to do already.

I have never used Facebook or Twitter, but my wife does.

I guess I am not one of those that needs constant communication with people I know. Or anyone else for that matter.

I also do not like to put everything out there for the world to see and possibly abuse. I am somewhat amazed at what people will post there for anyone to read.

:agree: I'm with you Dan. I've never even visited facebook, myspace or twitter, and have no desire to. I assume to just browse to see what it's all about, you would have to register. From what I hear, it's like a public diary with photos. I'm too old school for that, just can't wrap my head around it.
