Some say to take ubiquinol which ubiquinone (what is usually sold as CoQ10) is converted into to skip the conversion process since 90% of the circulating CoQ10 in the body is ubiquinol. I tried both and didn't notice a difference and had good results with NOW brand 100 mg. It might be because the NOW brand has Vitamin E which is supposed to enhance absorption of CoQ10.

Hi,

I've used both versions, and although the difference was slight, I did notice a little increased efficiency with the ubiquinol versus the CoQ10 since it is the more readily assimilated form of CoQ10.

But the difference was minor but the price isn't so I am now using the Vitamin Shoppe gel cap 150 mg version.

I do notice a difference in absorption with the gel caps over the regulars caps; plus the caps contain stearic acid, which is a saturated fatty acid used to lubricate the machinery that makes the capsules and from what I've read, it's not particularly healthy.

Cheers,
BB
