\nMy best advice is not to use mms on a child so young for this situation that is not so serious. Others have had difficulty with using mms for their teeth on daily use but I have not heard reports of discoloration, ususally things get whiter, but tooth sensitivity has developed. I would cut the mms use to only once a week. There are other effective things you can do.

\nIf you know exactly which tooth it is, and Im sure you do you might swab that area with mms 2 or 3 times a week. Why expose all the teeth to an uncertain fate. You do want to do what you can to keep that tooth and to keep infection from growing. Since its not getting worse you are probably on the right track

\nAlthough chlorine dioxide is renound for halting dental decay caused by bacteria, I would just use caution at this age.

\nSince these are baby teeth discoloration is not that unusual. Often baby teeth are not as strong as adult teeth.
\n
\nyou should make sure she is getting enough calcium and silica. Jarrow silica, ( biosil )liquid, may be of help to build strong teeth. I\'d only give her one drop a couple times a week. Get her to eat lots of broccoli for the calcium.

\nYou should refuse mercury fillings no matter what. She didn\'t really need it that much. I don\'t understand why a composite would not work. If it had to do with size then just let it get bigger then put a composite in or just plane old drill. There is no good reason to put mercury in a childs mouth! That doctor should be shot! You might want to consider getting it removed. Some people are much more sensitive to mercury than others and there is no way to tell who is who.

\nThe good news is is that that tooth won\'t be there for long.

\r\n \r\n Thank you so much...I was feeling like a horrible mother. People already think I\'m crazy and try to make me feel horrible because I don\'t vaccinate my two little girls. I reallt really appreciate your advice.

\nOne more question...you gave me a website to search for another dentist and I\'m not sure how to do that. I looked at the website but didn\'t find a place to do a search. I live in Waco Texas and I\'m willing to drive anywhere in the state to have a good dentist for my girls.

\r\n \r\n Yes, thats the kind. When you call make sure he uses the microscope and ozone, just to make sure he does it all. Of course I don\'t know him personally but I went to the guy that teaches this form of dentistry. I think eventually it is where the whole direction of the profession will go. There are a lot of people working very hard on it.

\nBTW, there are lots of folks in Texas who are anti vaccine.
\nDo a search on Prove & vaccine and you should be able to find the group that documents stuff and keeps people informed in Texas. I think they won the right to refuse vaccines not to long ago.

\nI was a pediatric nurse in Dallas. I had several patients that were significantly vaccine damaged and thats when I found out about the PROVE organization. Lots of angry moms I met.\r\n

Hopefully some one can help me...

I have a three yr old that has terrible teeth according to her pedi dentist. The Dr wants to do a pulpotomy on one of my little girls molars. The Dr told me she wasn't confident that my childs tooth would make it another month. The Dr had already filled it with a composite filling about 6 months prior. Against my better judgement I let her put a tiny amalgam filling in another tooth that she sore we couldn't fill with a composite filling. The other teeth she filled were all composite...I was standing my ground on these. Back to the pulpotomy that needed to be done right away...two months later I still haven't let her do the pulpotomy. My child has never complained about her teeth hurting or bothering her at all. I started using mms on her about 2 months ago. I really feel this is the reason why we haven't had to go back to see the dentist. My question is does mms change the color of your teeth? I don't know if I am paranoid now or if her teeth have a gray tint to them now at the gums. I do 3 drops of mms and 15 drops of fresh lemon, let sit for 3 mins ann then add a cup of reverse osmosis water. I have her gargle the entire cup as well as I dip her tooth brush in it and brush her teeth with it.

I'm scared it's discoloring her teeth.
