Question Grapefruit Seed Extract and Tooth Enamel

I have some gum issues and would like to start using Grapefruit Seed Extract on my toothbrush everyday, as recommended in another thread by Marcus.

It seems to me that it would be very acidic, I know it has a low pH.

Is it safe for your teeth to use GSE everyday

I see no reason to concern for your enamel with it. Did you do a PH test on it?

The main thing with acidic things is to not let your mouth soak in it constantly. Drinking or eating shortly after will eliminate the proplem.

Thanks Arrowwind09! I didn't do a pH test on it, as I haven't even bought any yet. Was waiting for advice from the forum. I read about the low pH online:

Grapefruit seed extracts pH is a low 2.0. Don't let this fool you as acid foods have alkaline effects on the body. The problem comes when you eat food that is acid forming such as
Now that I know you've used it for a long period of time with no problems, I'll get some tomorrow.
