cortisol and adrenal fatigue

Is there such a thing as adrenal farigue? Is messing with cortisol harmful?

Adrenal fatigue is real. Rest and destressing is most helpful. Best to find a doctor who understands it to help you if it is serious and some vitamins can help. Most severe cases, and I mean severe, can be treated with medication, most typically, steroids.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt a medical name for adrenal fatigue called addisons disease????

Addison's disease it total non function of the adrenal gland. If you have it without steroid treatment you are dead pretty quick. A day or two at the most and you are passed out, then death shortly after in the worst cases, which I have seen several times.

Adrenal burnout can't hold a candle to it. It can be treated with rest. May take many months.
