Default The Truth About "Organic Wines"

I just learned something tonight while shopping for a bottle of organic wine.

Most people know that sulfites are preservatives added to conventionally produced wines. And, they are believed to be the cause of some unwanted side-effects, in some people, that are not related to the wine itself.

But, did you know this?

Just because a bottle of wine says that it's "made with organically grown grapes" ... it doesn't necessarily mean that it doesn't have added sulfites.

The only way to ensure that a wine is virtually sulfite-free (and certainly without any added sulfites) is to look for a wine that's classified as "Organic Wine". As opposed to a wine that's "Made With Organically Grown Grapes".
