Unhappy low testosterone/ erectile dysfunction at 18


I am 18 and started having erection problems and low libido at age 15. Before age 15 my libido was insanely high and all I could think about was sex. Now i don't even have the urge to masturbate. I've taken many antibiotics for acne and ringworm which i think could have caused this. I have problems sleeping through the night, and i have terrible circulation. My hands and feet are always cold. I have seasonal depression and anxiety. I do eat very healthy though -(no sugar, junk food or breads) and I am in great shape, I workout almost everyday. Its very confusing to me why i cant get or maintain an erection. I no longer get random erections and I only get them some mornings. I was wondering if anyone has a clue of why I have these problems and what i might be able to do to fix them?

testosterone is made by your body and it is made from cholesterol so if you have been on a healthy diet sugested by your doctor you can thank him for your problem. Eat 6-10 egggs a day and in short order you will have no erectile disfunction.

Doug...just curious for my leanings. Do you have any websites explaining how cholesterol and low T coincide, or eating eggs to help. I have low T also.

No I do not have a website. The sex hormones are made from cholesterol also your body needs cholesterol for immune system and to rebuild your brain cells as well.
Cholesterol has been mistakenly linked to heart problems which it is not. The people with the highest cholesterol in the world [Inuit] Eskimos with a cholesterol count of 350 to 500 also have the least heart problems of anyone on earth.
Cholesterol deficiency diseases are sex hormone problems Alzheimer’s inability to rebuild brain cells.

OP, testosterone is made from cholesterol, I found a science page describing the major parts of how T is made. But too much cholesterol of the bad kind is bad for you. I am on HRT for low T. Have been since about 2000.

Men and women all have estrogen, but healthy men convert most of the estrogen to testosterone. There is no one thing that will help you. One dimensional thinking is not appropriate for a multi-dimensional problem. Here is my suggestion for you. Do all that you can.

  1. Get your T levels checked at the doctor via a blood test.
  2. Get your estrogen levels checked. If too high, it's not getting converted to T.
  3. Exercise regularly. This creates additional hormones which helps ED.
  4. If your blood pressure is high you have vascular, and probably systemic, inflammation which causes the valves in the penis to not seal properly. Fix it by eating better and exercising 4x a week, at least 30 minutes each time.
  5. Avoid processed sugar and GMO corn and soy products as these are the worst offenders of all food. These are huge inflammatory agents. Use stevia instead.
  6. Get a blood test for food allergies. A skin test is not sensitive enough! If your allergist says a skin test is fine, their information is 30+ years out of date! Avoid the foods that you are allergic to.

Insomnia, poor circulation, depression, and anxiety are all hard on the libido. If you shave every day I would doubt low T because T stimulates beard growth.

Investigate the supplement ZMA for low testosterone. It's a highly absorbable form of zinc and magnesium that raises T levels pretty predictably.

That's not a great predictor. I'm on testosterone therapy and I shave every day. My T is still on the low side.

Cholesterol is a hard molecule to absorb so your digestive track is the first place to look and gluten is the major cause of poor digestion and second you are not eating enough cholesterol.

Doug is right. I have very low cholesterol levels (might be a gene thing) yet I have high blood pressure (inflamed vascular system). I'm trying to find a legit sight I saw that explained that cholesterol is used in the production of testosterone.

See http://brighterbrains.org/articles/e...of-cholesterol. Very interesting. Vitamin D comes from the breakdown of cholesterol, I'm also low on vit D and suffer rather bad Seasonal Affective Disorder (which might be related).

I would really like to know how widespread this problem is. No one is talking, or very few people.

It's like how very few will talk about their bowels, only I'm sure for the men, it's worse.

This is a big deal my friend and thank Lord you are seeking help before it becomes really late.
At that age all you should be thinking about is sex, from porn to Masturbation and occasionally sex as they come.
Though I would not recommend you take drugs or any form of therapy that you might have to depend on.

For Tcells I strongly recommend you go natural vinegar and Ginger extract. Works well for HIV patient to boost Tcells.

Any ways best of luck, and I will try to remember you in my Nightly prayers.
