Hi, I've had a lifetime of asthma and it only flares in the dry winters. It's odd that I had no problems in the hot dry desert though.

  • Keep humidity at 35-40%. Get a humidifier, and hygrometer to measure the humidity.
  • Soak in a hot steamy tub 1-2x a week if it gets worse.
  • Minimize time outside in the cold dry air. If you have to shovel snow, cover your mouth and nose with a scarf to retain SOME moisture.
  • I also take zinc all winter. It greatly reduces the colds and flu I get.

My son had asthma so bad the doctor said he would need to be on steroids and a puffer handy. He gets 600mg omega 3 fatty acids every day and if the weather changes he gets 900mg. He has never had a problem with asthma since we started that and I have recommended this to others who got the same results
