Cool Shapeshifting Northern Lights Dance Over Alaska

I was fortunate enough to see the beautiful Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) in person. Here are some photos of them from space.com...http://www.space.com/23983-dancing-n...ka-photos.html

I saw the Northern Lights twice back in the 1970s when I lived in Wisconsin. Once in bright pink and once in brilliant neon green. Definitely a sight to be remembered all my life!

We were tent camping in the Northwest Territories in Canada, and in Alaska when we saw them. Incredible to watch them dance in the sky among the stars, with no city lights whatsoever to spoil the experience. Glad you got to see them too Jan, I remember mostly greens, blues and pinks.
