Scorpio, I have a little confession. I tried the Pectasol Chelation Formula that you posted about. I'm still taking it. Problem is, it is somewhat constipating. Constipation has never been a problem with me because of the high fiber, whole grain diet that I adhere to, but Pectasol has changed that. Last week my stomach and back was hurting. I decided MMS to the rescue. I took a whopping dose, 19 or 20 drops. Caused slight nausea but no vomiting. It got my bowels to moving but no diarrhea.....but a little the next day. This was only my second big dose and it proved to make me feel better both times. I don't take it regular, but prefer to keep it in my standby arsenal. I think I may use it for a once or twice yearly cleaning.

As far as the Pectasol goes, I plan to note if it affects my PSA reading. My PSA is not high but one of the testimonials claims that Pectasol dropped his PSA from very high to almost nothing.

wow... I'm surprised that it would be constipating. pectin is a water soluble fiber. Maybe the modification changes it... hmmm...

well, I had to laugh a little when I read your post. when i first read about MMS, I took note of the fact that it causes diarrhea. A lot of people have trouble in this area. It might be something to take on trips. a lot of people get constipated on trips.

well, I've got MMS I haven't touched. guess I will save it for emergencies.

Thanks for posting those links scorpiotiger. They are on HealthSalon but I hadn't been into them in a long time. The article by Dr Rodriguez is quite good. Can be found under Human Medical Treatment in your first link provided.

Iggy,

If you need a longer-term solution to the pectin/constipation issue (and if you choose not to use MMS for the long-term) ... simply increase your vitamin C and magnesium consumption. These are tried and true methods to deal with constipation. All you have to do is take more than what your body can process (your bowel-tolerance) and bingo-bango ... no more constipation.

Dr. Oz talked about the importance of magnesium for this very reason today, when Oprah was complaining that the calcium supplements were constipating. guess that is part of the reason you take magnesium along with the calcium.

I haven't tried taking the vitamin c to the point of bowel tolerance.
