Adults Beware -- New Vaccine Guidelines Released

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has released the 2007-2008 recommended immunization schedules for adults in the US.

The schedule includes 11 different types of vaccines for adults, including:

Tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (Td/Tdap)
Human papillomavirus (HPV)
Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
Influenza
Herpes zoster (shingles)
Key changes in this year's recommendations include:

Varicella (chickenpox) vaccination is recommended for all adults that have no apparent immunity to the virus
Zoster (shingles) vaccination is advised for all adults 60 years of age and older, regardless of whether they have had a prior shingles episode
HPV vaccine is recommended for women over the age of 26, who have not already completed the three-dose series
It is recommended that flu vaccination be administered to anyone with the following medical conditions:

Chronic disorders of the cardiovascular or pulmonary systems, including asthma
Chronic metabolic diseases, such as diabetes
Renal or hepatic dysfunction
Immunosuppression, including suppression caused by medications or HIV
Pregnancy during flu season

Did I read that right? A vaccine to prevent dental cavities? How can they even get away with such nonsense?
I absolutely hate flu shots/vaccines... ALL OF THEM.

I work in health care, and every year most of my co-workers get the flu shot, only this year I have a list to show them...a list of whats in these toxic cesspools.
Perhaps some will change their minds...

There is also some new info on the effectiveness of vaccines. Perhaps that would help PBD.

Dental Cavities. PBD? What are you talking about. Where does it say that?

JonB, I think when they see Aluminum, Formaldehyde, MSG, Mercury, Ammonium Sulfate, Micro-Organisms, and Genetically Modified Yeast on the list, that should make them think twice before rolling up their sleeves. If they decide to get the flu shot anyway, well you can't save them all. At the very least, they should do some research, and inform themselves.

Influenza Vaccination

Does Flu immunization save lives among the elderly?

Well, okay, there's no actual evidence of that happening. In fact...

In the USA, a February 2005 issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine, researchers for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases compared flu-related mortality among older people to rates of immunization. Their finding: During the past quarter century, immunization rates for the elderly have climbed substantially while the elderly flu-related mortality rate has stayed the same.

The authors of the research wrote: "We conclude that observational studies substantially overestimate vaccination benefit."

Default Flu Shot!

I warned my mother about the awful ingredients in the flu shot and she thanked me and has not had one in about 5 years. She tries to tell her friends, but they don't listen. They are so brain washed, a couple of years ago they all freaked out because they heard there was a shortage of flu shots so they (about 6 ladies over the age of 70) all got together and drove for several hours to the nearest Wal Mart that was giving free shots and they stood in line for hours. Sheesh! If they only knew!

Brainwashed? Yes, and in some cases, stubborn.
My dad still insists on taking an aspirin every day. I tell him he should take cayenne, hawthorn, or garlic pills instead, but he won't listen.
Now he complains of nose bleeds...back to square one..
