Doctors in the Denver area with a natural bent.

I live in a suburb south of Denver and would like to find a family practice doctor or practice that is more wholistic in it's approach. I haven 3 small children (4,2,7mos) and I do not vaccinate nor do I think well care visits are necessary. I do want to have a relationship with an MD office in case we do need care but I'm not happy with approach and stringent rules of our pediatrician who claims to integrate a natural approach to treatment imposes. Ideally, we could all be seen at the same practice. Any suggestion of names would be great. Thank you.

You might try the free Nexus magazine that's usually available at Natural Grocers, or other health food stores. They list many holistic doctors, etc.

Hate to be pessimistic, but to find a real naturalpath, you need to go to washington state (there are a few other states, but I do not think CO is one of them). Most MDs and ODs are under such stringent regs, they cannot treat you naturally out of fear of a lawsuit.

I am vey picky with doc.s as well.
I have been a healer for many years and seem to understand and have faith in the body that the doc's just 'don't get'.

Naturopathic medical doctors are legal in Colorado. Just do a google search for Naturopaths Denver Colorado.

My guess is if you want an MD you will find one doing alternative medicine. They are around. Ask at the healthfood stores.Thats how I found mine. I needed an MD for insurance purposes and found a very good one.
