Hi, I'm Libby . I just joined recently and thought I'd share a little about who I am. I've studied wild foods and medicines for years, and love to make my own tinctures, salves and soaps. I raise free range chickens to eat the ticks in the woods surrounding the house. But I ate the SAD diet as well. Now I have breast cancer and am treating with raw food diet, Budwig's protocol, and now MMS1 and soon MMS2. I'm testing with thermography and HCG to check progress.I could use some help locating Pool Shock in 78% formula- my Walmart's has only 48%.Can this still be used? Jim Humble said he's used it but I think the 1 pill formula is for 78%?Thanks for the great site- I look forward to learning and sharing together.
Hi Libby. Welcome aboard. Sorry to hear about your cancer. I noticed that you seem to have a lot of education in the alt med world, but did not say anything about iodine in your introduction. Please do a search on iodine and breast cancer at this forum. You will find the "search" in the main menu up above (next to New Posts). Feel free to comment anywhere. The one kink in this is that new users can't use weblinks, or our automatic spam mechanism will trap your post. Just have patience. And once again, welcome.
I have friends in Minnesota. I once visited Minneapolis during February. It was so cold. My ears froze. I was afraid that if I touch them, they would crack off. Otherwise, what a beautiful State.

I agree with jfh. you need to look into the use of Lugol's iodine.
You can purchase it here: http://www.herbhealers.com/store/ Get the 15% Lugols solution and when it arrives dilute it down to make a total of 3 bottles of 5% solution, that would be 10ml per one ounce bottle then fill with pure water. It is very cost effective this way and since you make tinctures I'm sure you have one ounce brown bottles with droppers, which is what is required.
http://www.herbhealers.com/store/ they are located in Equador, originally an American company that got run out by the FDA because their products work. I don't know what kind of treatment you are planning but you may want to look at their Cancema products,,, actually they changed the name of them but they are black salve products used to draw cancer tumors out. I have a detailed book by Ingred Naimen with photos and all on how to use this product on breast cancer.. It takes some guts and confidence to do. They use to have so many testimonials on their site but they have pulled them all off as the FDA continues to harrass them even down there. One of the owners is a Naturopathic doctor, I don't know if she will advise you but you could try.
This is Ingrids site you may find of interest. Her book is a must if you decide that this kind of treatment is for you. I would not bother to try to make your own salve. Alpha Omega Labs makes the best and some of the ingredients are very hard to get, like the zinc chlorite. Its not expensive. http://www.ingridnaiman.com/site_dir...directory.html
Learn how to take Lugols iodine orally but also just slather it on your breasts. Breast tissue requires a ton of iodine to maintain health and it has been reported that this can be especially helpful for ductal carcinoma.
Iodine is messy and it can stain but if you spill it on the carpet or get it on clothing take a vitamin c ascorbic acid capsue and open it. Make a little slurry with it an apply it to the stain. You will watch the stain magically disappear!
Since I learned this I have been recommending to people that they should take their iodine and their vitamin c at opposite ends of the day. That will give your iodine plenty of time to be absorbed and utilized.
Most breast cancer cases are associated with low or borderline low thyroid issues also, which is also an iodine issue. Most doctors do not recognized borderline as an issue but be aware it is! Iodine supplementation will solve the problem.
Now, do you know anything about making pine bark extracts? I've been looking for the process for a while now.

I researched it thoroughly and decided to order the 15% Lugol's. Thanks so much for the help. Pine bark extract for what purpose? I've made an excellent healing salve from tamarack bark-works on even very oozy wounds and for diabetics. Most "modern" uses for pine are external so I do oils, make them into salves or lotions as needed. The only thing I've used pine for otherwise is a spring tea with the new tips.By the way, Tamarack was once used to combat cyanide poisoning, so I wouldn't use it internally if you take apricot kernels. You can tap the tamarack trees just like for maple syrup and use the turpentine as is, but there are many other safer things to use for bladder infections and colds, which is what it was used for, mostly.I don't even know the dosage for it.Let me know if this is helpful-clarify the species/use and I'll look up the recipe if i have it.I do have an extensive library of obscure herbal books.
There are a few reports out here that iodine in itself has cured some breast cancer. Of course this would be the simplest and easiest. Do you still go to a doctor? How were your thyroid levels? If you take a thyroid pill you will likely need to reduce dosage when you get on to iodine as it will strenghten your thyroid gland so levels need to be checked in about 6 weeks or so.
There is a new report here on the forum about a woman who did very well using MMS for her breast cancer. It is a radio program link..I will see if I can find it for you.
Pine bark extract is very powerful medicine. If you do a search on Pycnogenol (the new fancy name) you will find out about it. It has profound effects on the vascular system and can prevent blood clots. It cured my mountain cedar allergies. The French Maritime Pine has gained market control through promotion and stuides done with this variety but I do feel that other species are capable. The Ute indians use to make some kind of tea from the pines around Utah, don't know what species, for general tonic and for flu and colds. I do not have a recipe. I was told this by a very ancient patient I had a few years ago who received the recipe from her mother, grandmother, via native peoples.
So you take the new tips of pine branches in the spring and steep them? boil them?
Yes, I make a spring tea using pine tips and new leaves of wild strawberry, new clover and sorrel (wood, or field) and any other fresh young herb that I find on an early morning walk, lol.I once was picking fresh tips at my northern Minnesota land, and walked into a bear's face! It was watching me, and grunted to warn me off just as I reached it. We both ran away. I added a little chamomile and catnip to that batch of tea.BTW, I do have the cancer salves book-my first" find" on the road to recovery, actually. However, rather than burning holes in myself, I opted to try the easier(?) way of complete raw foods diet and herbs, along with the mms1 and 2, recently added.I also use a far infra red dome that a friend borrowed me.I still haven't tried the mms2, but will tonight.Do you know if it's ok to mix apricot kernels with mms?I did take them before, and added them again to cut the pain a little, but do they play nice together?
I don't think anyone knows if they play nice together... this is the unfortuante thing about so many alterntive medicine things... they lack studies.
With the black salve topical treatment, it is essential to do before mets happen. But there are also very good oral herbal products on the site to combat cancer. I have heard of cases when the oral products are taken there have been good results.
Hi Libby! I use to live in the twin cities. Hated it! But every place has its good points. For the twin cities it is the ethnic restaurants and availability of health foods (try the Wedge co-op on Lyndale). Also, you might want to read this:
Thanks for the welcome, saved1986! I live in the country, about 40 minutes north of the Northern suburbs of Minneapolis, so I don't have to deal with the congestion of city life, thank the Lord. The Wedge is quite a ways for me, and with the local farmer's markets, the garden here, and the co-ops in Anoka and Cambridge, I only have to order a few things online.I do take Turmeric for the cucurmin, although I have to take it separate from my 8 hour protocol of MMS now.I love curry! But shouldn't have noodles, rice or meat, lol. At least for a while, until the cancer is gone.Mmm, curried carrots...
Hey Libbly, if you develop an interest in using tumeric you want it standardized to 95% curcuminoid. They have been doing a huge amount of research on this herb at the M D Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. We take it religously in our house in capsule form to prevent bowel disease and it detoxes the chemicals from smoking.... my husband smokes.
Does anyone think you have to take tumeric separate from MMS? I realize antioxidants and mms don't mix but that would mean be have to eat our salads and so many things far separated from mms.
go to www.healthsalon.org and do a search on tumeric or curcumin. I have quite a few articles available there.
Dan -- can you present any studies or links to LDN and its use with cancer?
There is not much in the way of clinical studies, as it is one of those profitless treatments, so no money is available to do them. Here is one from Dr. Burt Berkson, a doctor that uses LDN for several conditions, including Cancer. He is probably the authority on Cancer treatment with LDN.
Other than that, it is a treatment that cannot do any harm. It is cheap and the only thing you cannot use with it is opiods.
Regarding Turmeric or Curcumin. I think this was discussed before, but I believe it is best taken with fats or something like Coconut Oil for absorption.
