Default Illnesses granny never got

I came across this excellent article.

We've got rid of a lot of the old illnesses & diseases...and replaced them with some new ones!

Awesome!

ADHD, ADD ETC. I call those "the kid needed his fucking ass kicked and it never happened"

Alzheimers as well as many autoimmune disorders respond to Omega 3s. In the states Beef use to have it because it was grass fed, but now its grain fed. I have to drive 100 miles to a health food store once a month to get grass fed beef.

Not to mention, enlarged prostates were a medical anamoly 100 yrs ago. Also today: fibromyalagia and chronic fatique syndrome. Many diseases in the US, especially obesity are due to americans refusing to walk a mile to go get something.

Good article knightofalbion, thanks. LOL, saved! A good spankin' DID seem to calm me down quite a bit, and everyone should be walking a few miles EVERYday, for general health.

When I was in school ( I am 49), there was very little ADD/ADHD etc. Now it is rampant. Tells me big pharma and lack of discipline are the cause. Although, when I was in school NO ONE had peanut allergies. They are rampant nowadays.

When I was in school, in the early 50s, I was super hyperactive and could not focus on one thing for long. They did not know ADD. I had many sessions of standing in the hall for punishment (timeouts). Once, a teacher even put powdered soap in my mouth. My father said he would give me a quarter (that was a lot back then), if I would just sit still for five minutes. I never got a quarter. I don't think discipline was the problem. It did not work for me. I lived on a small farm, so fresh veggies, raw milk, eggs, fried chicken, fried everything else.

I used up all my energy back then. Now I am the completely opposite.

I rarely heard of so many people getting/dying of all the different kinds of Cancer as we
have now. People died more of heart attacks, strokes, pneumonia.
Childhood diseases like measles, mumps, chicken pox, etc. though not desired
were accepted and treated with bed rest, water/liquids, aspirin for fever, and
chicken soup, jellos, etc. Thank God we had no vaccines back then.
Only Polio was considered a biggie for children.

Cancer is on the rise big time. Look at all the crap they put in foods. I bought my mom a loaf of bread from whole foods and she complained it was hard the next day. Well: that is what real foods without preservatives do. Go buy a loaf of bread from the grocery store and look at all the chemicals.

Also, in 1960, the avg meal from McDs had 550 calories. Today it is 1600 calories. Supersize this and supersize that. I worked with a guy 5 yrs ago who weighed over 300 pounds and he ate McDs every day (with a supersize fries). I heard he now weighs over 400.

Daily Caloric Intake from Sugar-Sweetened Drinks in the U.S.
I think the combined effect of TOO many calories (from increased sweetener and sweetened beverages) when combined with the excess pro inflammatory calories from omega 6 seed oils (mainly soy) are the root cause of the recent rise in inflammatory conditions.
Bear in mind the HFCS causes vitamin D insufficiency and omega 6 depletes magnesium so we are losing our anti inflammatory status as fast as we increase our pro inflammatory status.
Remember also that pollution is increasing ground level ozone to the extent that soy crop yields are reduced and this also reduces the amount of UVB reaching ground level and the potential for making vitamin D. People in urban situations are physically unable to make as much vitamin D now as would have been possible 50yrs ago even if they weren't using sunscreen avoiding sun when UVB is present and covering themselves in sunscreens that converts UVB to the VITAMIN D3 DEGRADING UVA radiation.

GOOD POINTS TED The crap oils they use nowadays and all the pollutants in the food supply (especially seafood). Anymore, I limit myself to Olive oil, butter and coconut oil. Very occasionally walnut oil.

There's really nothing complicated to it. We consume man-made chemicals instead of the ones nature produces. Of course we are going to be screwed up! We are practically robotic!
