There is a supplement called hydergene which has shown success in studies.
Hydergine is derived from rye. I tried it once. My nose stopped working for half a day. I did not know I was allergic to rye. I love Ruben sandwiches on rye. I still do. They don't seem to bother me. http://www.antiaging-systems.com/PRG-115/hydergine.htm

The brain fascinates me, but to answer your question.......
Exercise!

High Performance Memory Tip - Try brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand, showering with your eyes closed, switch accustomed seats at the dinner table, shop at a farmer’s market instead of the supermarket.
Omega-3s are known to be particularly crucial constituents of the outer membrane of brain cells. It is through the fat-rich cell membrane that all nerve signals must pass. In addition, as learning and memory forge new connections between nerve cells, new membranes must be formed to sheathe them. All brain cell membranes continuously need to refresh themselves with a new supply of fatty acids. A growing amount of research suggests that the omega-3s are best suited for optimal brain function.
Me too, Jim, Reubens on Rye are my favorite sandwich. Actually, I've begun
alternating between buying Ezekial bread & Rye bread for awhile now. Love both of them!
