Well, I don't know what happened. Somehow, this got posted just as I was trying to write it. Let's try this again.

I would like to make a comment or two here on an issue that I believe is relevant to everyone out there treating themselves for cancer or any other disease.

1. Contrary to what people think, there is no CURE for cancer. Cancer can only be “beat.” Even if there was a cure for cancer, how is it possible that anyone can know for certain that they have cured it?

Example:
Let's say someone treats themselves for cancer and claims they have "CURED" it. How can they possibly know that every single cancer cell in their body is dead at any given point in time? The answer is: They can't. It's that simple.

So, claims of "curing" cancer are misleading.
You can only "beat" cancer; you cannot "cure” cancer. I view the word "cure" as a complete and total absence of cancer cells. Cancer---in simple terms, "mutating cells"---will be with us for a long time. There is no "cure" for cancer, and we should all avoid such claims.

Besides such claims of "curing" cancer play straight into the hands of our beloved FDA/AMA and their goal of making people who choose to treat themselves appear to be idiots and fools.

2. Everyone should avoid personalizing diseases. "My cancer"; "her cancer"; "my hep-c".

This brainwashed reaction by the public at large is the product of long-term historical indoctrination by the AMA and the "medical industry" to get you to "personalize" the diseases for which they produce patented prescription drugs. If they can get you to personalize a disease---"my cancer"---they are better able to induce fear in you and sell product. After all, it's not just cancer, it's "MY CANCER!"

You hear it all the time in television advertisements---I worked in the television industry for twenty-five years---produced by the pharmaceutical industry. Some well-paid actor says "In the Summer, MY allergies just drive me crazy," "When MY arthritis flairs up," and on and on the deception goes.

A disease is a foreign invader that has invaded your body and is trying to bring you down. If a foreign country’s army invaded your country, you wouldn’t say: “We’ve been fighting OUR army for a long time,” or “MY army is killing me.”

Stop claiming diseases as yours, and encourage others to avoid doing the same. Again, when you do this, you play right into the hands of the people who make money off you by getting you to personalize a disease so they can sell you product.

The world will be a better place when we all stop using these misleading, mindless assumptions.

Its pretty common knowlege that cancer is in the body all the time at very low levels and a healthy body will keep it in check and no disease process occurs.

A cure for cance can be assumed when the body has restored its ability to keep it in check either though assistance from medicianal help or a direct shift in immune resonse. This is proven out over time when the disease state does not return.

Every disease is personal because it is happening to a person. Its not the neigbhor or friend it is You/Me. Why be in denial?

I do not view disease so much as foreign invader as a lack of ability for a body to know how to deal with it. Many disease are present in us already and have been there forever. It is when we change our abiltity to keep them in check that we get sick. For instance, Staph is not a foreign invader. It is all over us. It only becomes a disease when OUR personal defences are broke n. Same for so many others. Candida, cancer, strep, a multitude of pathogens that are in us every day

There are some invaders like lyme or tapeworm, heavy metals, there really are quite a few. But once it is in you you are the HOST.... so I see it as yours, you have a visitor that you are nuturing and supporting, until you figure out how to throw it out. It is your problem.

Really, if you are not responsibe for the disease in your body then who is?
The choices your make, either consciously or unconsciously and what you decide to do about it once you are aware of it are all within your own domain of power. The help we solicit and the friends we keep, their quality and awareness, help or hinder us along our way.

Right on! I believe there is so much that could be elaborated on in this post. WHAT YOU FOCUS ON EXPANDS. YOU ARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE, and on and on.

You make good points, too. i think the previous poster was saying to not personalize it as though you own it. You don't have to own it. Yes, acknowledge that this has come upon you, and then go about sending it away because it does not belong with you. Not very eloquent, but I have been at the computer for hours now and am getting tired.
