Someone who does not allow society to push him toward being something he wished not to be.
Someone who learns self control and is able to resolve conflicts and to forgive
Someone who achieves his dreams and goals and does not listen to anyone or anything who tries to tell him that he cannot achieve them
Someone who believes that he is or can be successful
Someone who finds the balance between loving himself and loving others
Someone who says NO to the temptations of drugs and alcohol or who has been a chronic druggie or drunk and has recovered
Someone who is not afraid to say "Hey, you need some help with that?"
Someone who tries to keep peace between family, friends and co-workers
I've always felt that making me a better person would mean looking outward. Deeds.
The local Senior Center is one.
The other is a wildlife refuge. I'm the treasurer of the board of directors of the Friends group for http://friendsofbalcones.org/
I'm a firm believer in actions speak louder than words.
The ironic thing about visiting a Senior Center is that the seniors have a mysterious way of turning the tables. You enter with the mindset that you're there to brighten their lives, but leave being the more enriched. How does that happen? Lol
Friends of Balcones! That's awesome! It's an interesting website, I'll read it more closely tomorrow. And there's a facebook page that I'll add

That's a great definition of being successful.
Do you believe we're all assigned special talents (before we're born), but we get swayed in other directions through the educational system & by our own greed?

I like the way you think, Kelly Thundercloud!
And if this is any indication to the type of vibes your songwriting & music is going to send out, you're looking at your #1 fan!
One who cherishes their lives, and that of all living things, and acknowledges mortality...One who naturally, in day to day living, is compassionate to all in need, whether it's something physical, or making someone smile who's downhearted...One who makes the time during their stay on Earth, to admire all the beauty of nature and the heavens...One who values their age with honor, for the gift of all their years...Finally, One who is always in good company, especially when alone.

Sad but true, so many people living outside of their means. They need the biggest house, finest cars, latest cellphones, but it doesn't make them any happier inside, just more stressed out figuring ways to pay their increasing bills. They need to get their priorities in order, and stop trying to outdo the next guy. Not enough people out there who are just thankful for what they can afford to have.
"casing material goods" The reason most people chase material goods is because they feel insecure. In a lot of cases the reason they feel insecure is due to the manner they were raised which in some instances may have been beyond anyone's control like the consequences of a divorce or a death, a lost job, etc.

Well, since I believe strongly in this, I'm sure those vibes will be sent out through my music. I write mostly about me. Many of my songs are about past boyfriends and many are about my love for nature. Some go somewhat into my spiritual beliefs without prominently stating that it's spiritual.
