Why not just take a good brand of fish oil?????????????????? (Which has been shown to actually reduce heart disease)

I agree, when I saw the commercial on TV, I said to my husband why don't they just buy their own fish oil and cut out the middleman? I'm using Natural Factors RX Omega-3 Factors with EPA 400mg/DHA 200mg.

The reason people get Lovaza, instead of fish oil from the health shop, is because they can get it free on insurance from their doctor.

Lovaza is a patented drug, according to the FDA, and therefore its available on prescription.

Taking 4 capsules a day will cost your healthcare over $3,000 a year and its a massive moneyspinner for Glaxo who make it. I remember once stumbling on a pharmaceutical rep's site where one rep was boasting he was making $20,000 a month on bonuses for getting doctors to prescribe it.

I feel a conspiracy coming on. Start watching the press on how bad fish oil supplements will be bad for you. Perhaps they will be toxic, or contaminated with petrol, or vendor advertised cures, or....

Why do I feel the same way?

Saturday when I was at the co op in cleveland I made a comment about them pulling Kombucha. The real reason they pulled it was because it was helping out people and they are now bringing other brands to market which do not even resemble the real thing.
