The same principal of using transferrin as a "Trojan Horse" to carry a cancer destroying element (in this case
artemesin), into cancer cells has been researched by Washington University.

Transferrin normally carries iron in the blood and cancer cells are always searching for iron as they need it to replicate. This is why high iron levels are unhealthy.
One of the reasons men dont normally live as long as women is because men dont have the means to get rid of excess iron which builds up over the years, unlike women who menstruate monthly and can get rid of excess iron.
Once women stop menstruating they normally start building up excess iron and it can become one of the reasons why women become just as liable to get cancer and heart disease as men after menopause.

A good reason to become a blood donor.
