Totally off topic

I know this sounds dumb, but I need some info. I was given a futon yesterday, and before I bring it into my house, I would like to make sure it is bug free!!! Is there anything I can spray on the mattress to get rid of any bugs, and still be safe for my family. I didnt know the people that gave it to me, I answered an ad in the paper, Now Im kinda nervous about it. thanks for any help you can give me!!!
