Default HHV-6

Hi all,

I was recently tested positive for HHV-6 and HHV simplex 1. From the extensive list of tests they did on me, those were positive and active. My infections (I suspect HHV-6 is the problematic one now) are really acute, causing me a huge list of symptoms. I was lucky to discover what I have, but, on the other hand, this is being a huge fight.

Does anyone knows how to beat those guys down? I will start get tested for viral quantity in blood, my goal is to complete control these monsters at long term.

Currently, I've been using oregano oil, with success. It suppresses two of my symptoms. I am currently thinking about moving to anti-viral herbs and formulas.

I keep my body as alkaline as I can (although I am neither vegan nor vegetarian) and oxygenated.

Thanks,
Best

That's too bad, but don't worry. Your body will try to correct your attempt to make it alkaline. It has nearly 200 buffers to make the pH balance. Your attempts will not be good for your digestive system.

I'm so glad I don't have to worry about such a problem as HHV, so I do feel sorry for you. I understand that the HHV-6 can affect and infect brain tissue. Wish I had some experience to help you. I don't even know anyone with such experience.

But.....

If oil of oregano is helping, maybe another anti-parasitic could help too. Olive leaf extract.

The main constituent of olive leaf is the phytochemical oleuropein, which has broken down to elenolic acid (opps I did say acid), which has a powerful anti-bacterial effect, and has the ability to interfere with critical amino acid production essential for viruses.

Oleuropein is a bitter monoterpene glycoside of the class known as secoiridoids and is also one of the major components found in the polyphenolic portion of olive oil

Other ingredients olive leaf include esters, multiple iridoids, rutin, apigenin, luteolin etc.

Oregano also contains a powerful acid. Oregano contains numerous phytonutrients—including thymol and rosmarinic acid—that have been shown to function as potent antioxidants that can prevent oxygen-based damage to cell structures throughout the body.

You might also try virgin (unrefined) coconut oil. 2 tablespoons daily. This oil contains 8 acids. The predominant one is lauric acid. It is only found elsewhere in nature in human milk. This is the main acid that gives our babies a head start on their developing immune system. It also contains caprylic acid, which is well know for killing candida albicans and other such microbes. This all makes coconut oil an antibacterial, antifungal, and antivirus.

Then there is ascorbic acid. Don't leave it out. Take as much as you can each day until you reach diarrhea then back off on the dosage. This is a most powerful acid and well studied and respected by the alternative health community. A natural vitamin C, instead of ascorbic acid, would be good, but ascorbic acid is the vitamin C that has been studied the most. Natural - would be kiwi and amla berry.

I know I sound as if I'm sarcastic, but I never see any benefit in making the system alkaline.

Oh, and by the way, a handful of walnuts daily would be good for your health. They supposedly can stop breast tumors, which I know is not your problem. Walnuts contain ellasic acid which also inhibits the growth of chitin. Chitin is the essential "wall" of most fungi, especially candida albicans. Without this, they cannot live.

Next, I hope you will research Pau d'arco and chaparral. Gee. This all sounds like a shotgun approach, but as I said, I have no experience with your target virus, and wish you well.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Well the bottomline is that pathogenic agents cannot live that well in alkaline environments (and oxygenated). I doubt it will hurt my digestive system. I am shiffting from dairy to spinach, kale, mushrooms, avocados, veggies juice and fruit. I will try this for one year and see whether I can benefit from it or not.

I will use some antiviral other herbs / extracts, yes. I've been researching a few, lets hope them work on me. I will definitely consider your olive leaf extract suggestion. I hope I can find it in iherb.

As far as aminoacids is concerned, arginine consumption is something I will try to minimize, while I will try to boost my intakes of lisine, metionine, phenilanine, treonine, e isoleucine. I am planning to start with 500mg of Lisine ASAP. (on transit to my place)

I will try chinese herbs. I know a HIV-positive guy taking ZERO antiviral drugs but taking extremely antiviral chinese herbs, which make HIV untracable.

I know ascorbid acid pretty well. I am taking 8g orally and planning to get a doctor who gives me intravenous C. I take it with bioflavonoids that boost its absorption.

I eat a whole coconut a day. ;-) I am living in central europe, we get organic coconuts and mangos for 1€ only. Can you imagine? This medicine for 1€ a piece?

I will definitely go through the info you just posted. Hope it find me more answers.

Don't fell sorry for my infection, please. Fell sorry for my lack of knowledge to beat these two things. I am pretty sure I will control them in the long run.

Thanks again. Please post more info if you fell it is relevant.

jfh, I sincerely appreciate your posts, but I would like you to delete all our conversation and let posts 1, 2 and 3. I think is all off-topic, right?

I am looking forward to see other people with the same condition coming here and discuss w/ me therapies.

Thanks!

Alright. I agree. Off topic. We can discuss acid/alkaline elsewhere.

HHV is very important and deserves discussion on its own.

Happy to hear the oregano oil helps. it works well on eczema too.

Lysine is good, and I have read that coconut oil is too.

Hi,

Coconut oil and coconut itself appear to have no effect on me. I've been drinking fresh coconut water for a week now and I see no changes whatsoever. With regard to oregano oil, on the other hand, the results were immediate. I will raise the dosage, but I am still waiting for the next order of it - in the meantime I wont raise the dosage 'cause I can finish it quickly.

I think that other amino acids might also have influence. However, it is not clear in my mind why L-Lisine works, which will probably require me to study these virus in detail - time that I hadn't so far (~6 months of infection but I only learnt I have contracted these things 2 weeks ago).

I wonder if there are not anyone else with this same condition. Usually, it is silent (it is being extremely active on me, though), but anyways, must be someone out there with this. Any feedback on what use is appreciated!

I know alot about ascorbic acid as well, and have two suggestions.

First, about 98% of all ascorbic acid is derived from GMO corn, so I would suggest you get non GMO vitamin C, and secondly, have you heard of liposomal vitamin C? If not, do some research on it.

Liposomal C can be taken orally at very high doses without causing gas, bloating, etc., and 50 grams of liposomal C per day can easily knock out any virus quickly.

IV vitamin C is also a good way to go, however, you need to find a doctor who is willing to do this and you would need several treatments, thus it would be better to use the liposomal form of C.

Ozone treatments would be another good treatment path to follow.

Hi, two things I wasn't aware of. I am taking C from Solgar. Does that gives any information more as far as GMO-free is concerned? Honestly, I don't know but I really hope I am not taking any GMO thing. Also, I wasn't aware of Liposomal C - I will certainly look for it!

Ozone is another step that I have in mind. I am now going to liquid oxygen, that a naturopath doctor prescribed me. Do you know anything about that?

Thanks a lot,
AM

As far as the vitamin C is concerned, you must contact the company that makes it to determine where it is sourced from. If it comes from China, I would assume it is GMO, unless they can prove it isn't.

Liquid oxygen works like MMS. Do some research on Jim Humble and his product called MMS. There is alot of information on this forum about MMS, just do a search on it:

1) I make my own oregano oil. HUGE savings and better assurance of quality.

2) I don't know what makes the lysine work either, but I know it does. It's a godsend for canker sores.
