If the doctor gave you Ampicillin or Amoxicillin and that caused the rash then you probably have Mono. This is a well known Mono reaction to antibiotics. Doctors tend to hand out antibiotics for most infections, but they dont work on Mono and the rash is not caused by an allergic reaction.

If the blood test shows antibodies to EBV then that should confirm Mono.
Some people dont get a sore throat with mono.

I would stick to walking as far as exercise is concerned. The symptoms in some people can go away quickly but the fatigue can linger on. Exercise wont cure you quicker, in fact it could make the infection last longer.

I forgot to mention the detail that my urine is foamy.

Also, I woke up this morning with both eyes nearly swollen shut.

These are probably due to the side effects of the Ampicillin based antibiotics the Dr gave you.

I guess I need to find out what he prescribed me. I'm in Korea, and they don't give you bottles. It's just a handful of pills separated into different packets based on when you take them.

Has this doctor given you a diagnosis yet? Most doctors are reluctant to diagnose Mono until they have ruled out other possible causes for the cell damage shown in liver tests by the elevated LDH level.

I just noticed you do heavy exercise regularly. This can temporally elevate LDH and confuse the test results. Also until your diagnosis is confirmed I wouldnt advise any body contact sports, heavy lifting or exercise because the spleen can be inflamed in mono and if it gets damaged by exercise it could cause internal bleeding.

Yes I haven't exercised since thursday, and I hate it. And no, he hasn't diagnosed me with anything yet. The first go around he said that I had tonsillitis and cervical lymphoma. I asked for a mono blood test, but he didn't mention it last time I went in. He just told me that my liver and kidney enzyme/creatiniine levels were high. The next time I go in is Friday for a new blood test. I've actually started to develop a sore throat in the last 3 days. It's sore on the left side, which is where the majority of the white spots were at the beginning of all this. My eyes are still swollen when I wake up, but they become less swollen each morning.

The doc told me today that the test for EBV antibodies came back negative. Its been almost 3 weeks since those symptoms came about, and fatigue has been the only surviving symptom for about a week now. I had another blood test today and I get the results tomorrow.

He says if the enzymes are still elevated that he thinks it's hepatitis, which I have no idea how I would have contracted. I live in south korea, and hand washing is not touted very much here. They have bar soap in all the public bathrooms. I was also drinking the tap water, as I live in one of the wealthiest/newest cities here. I'm guessing I came into contact with something and got hep A.

Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow. Other opinions are still welcome!

I dont know whats wrong with you but from your symptoms either MMS or larges doses of vitamin c should work. Take your pick but dont do both to gether.

to learn about vitamin c go to www.vitamincfoundation.org

I knew someone with chronic mono that became chronic fatigue for over a year and mms got rid of it in one week.

The test for mono came back negative. But I'm going to wait until my blood tests are done before I start doing any self medicating. I don't want something to make the results stray.

As of now I'm just feeling fatigue. It's gotten better over the last week, so I hope I'm healing.

I never did find out what was officially wrong with me. I just stopped going to the doctor when I began to feel better. Until now, I've felt fine. Some of the symptoms came back.

I now have a sore throat, inflamed lymph nodes, and a stiff neck. These were all symptoms before. But this time there is no headaches, fever, or fatigue (I think I had a slight fever on Friday).
