Default Miracle Cream?

One night a couple weeks ago I was carrying a couple of glasses of beverage down an unlit hall in my house when my cat zipped between my legs, and in trying not to hurt the cat and not to spill the drinks, I did a face plant into my carpet. I had carpet burns on my forehead and nose and the next morning some pretty nasty scabs. My gf suggested I try coconut butter body cream she got from Trader Joe's as it was healing her allergic rashes better than anything else she has ever tried -- and she and her doctor have tried everything. In 3 days the scabs were gone and you would never know I even had an injury. It was pretty freaking amazing. Forget the first aid creams - this stuff will heal wounds way way faster than any drug. Wanted to share with you all.

I've heard for years that cocoa butter was good for scars, and things like stretch marks. I've used it before as a regular skin cream. If you get straight cocoa butter, it will solidify, at least that's what happened to mine.

I find coconut oil is amazing for skin and even deodorant. I wonder what makes the coconut butter better. It can't be just the added fiber. Right?

I edited my post, I was thinking of cocoa butter. I love coconut oil for the skin, and scrapes, but I never heard of coconut butter.

There is such a thing a coconut butter. That's why I was wondering which is best.

2. Is there a difference between coconut oil and coconut butter?

Yes, there is definitely a difference between the two. Think peanut butter vs. peanut oil. One is thick and smooth, while the other is liquid (at room temperature). Coconut butter includes the meat of the coconut, while coconut oil does not.

Thanks, Jan. I always forget about shea butter. I haven't used it for a while. I discovered coconut oil a few years ago, so shea butter went by the wayside. I've used jojoba oil on my scalp too.
