I've been using "NOW" brand liquid Omega 3 fish oil (lemon flavored) for a long time now, and am very happy with it. To me, the taste is not bad at all, and the recommended serving on the bottle is 1 teaspoonful, although I always take 1 tablespoonful myself every morning.

Definitely be cognitive of which Brand you choose. Just do your research and ask around here. There are plenty (I heard) with bad toxins contained in the fish.

That's true, you have to shop around for a quality brand, and you get what you pay for. The NOW brand I use says "This natural fish oil is molecularly distilled and manufactured in Norway under strict quality control standards. It is tested to be free of potentially harmful levels of contaminants (i.e. mercury, heavy metals, PCBs, dioxins and other contaminants. Manufactured in a pharmaceutically icensed facility"

Ended up getting barlean's brand, they have several flavors. Got the peach mango and our son loves it. Has smoothie type texture

Great, always helps with the little ones if they like the flavor.

I find Nature's Answer, Liquid Omega-3 is fine on it's own but I often add it to a smoothie anyway.

I often have a home made yoghurt, to which I add an egg yolk, my vitamin D drops, and liquid fish oil. if I've some fruit juice to hand I may top it up with that.

I do keep the fish oil in the fridge from the moment it's opened and I NEVER let it get to room temperature so it's from the fridge, into the teaspoon and back in the fridge without leaving my hand or ever getting put down.

I also keep my liquid fish oil refrigerated after opening, and sometimes before.

I'm taking Blackmore's fish oil capsules. Should I be keeping those in the fridge too please?

Partly depends on where you live or how hot the room you keep your fish oil capsules in is?
It also depends on how often you buy your fish oil caps. If you are bulk buying to save money and so some of the caps may be hanging about at room temperature for many months then it may be better to keep them in a fridge or even use the freezer.
I've known some people use fish oil caps direct from the freezer so they have past the burb point before they've defrosted.
For the most part the oil in the caps should be fine providing they are within their use by date. If you chewed a capsule and tasted the fish oil and it was "off" or going rancid, I'm sure you'd know.

I'm in Australia but it is not that hot where I am so I think I should be right. Thank you very much.

I like the Carlsons brand fish oil. It has a mild lemon taste. If you're looking for something that tastes good check out the Barlean's swirl bottles.
