Default Achey feeling around heart, when laying on left side?

Hey guys

Maybe im just a total hypochondriac as I feel I keep posting different symptoms here..

Anyway, the other night I layed down for bed as usual, layed on my left side and it felt like an achey feeling around my heart.. I also feel my heart beat much more pronounced when laying on my left side?

Ive never felt an acheyness in that area before? I did work out somewhat intensely that night.. could it just be a sore muscle? or something else like my esophagus?

im pretty skinny and ive always been able to practically feel my heart sticking out of my chest bones !! but its definitely more noticeable when im laying on my left side.

Hopefully it will go away.. is there a cause to be concerned? or is it likely something benign?

I've heard that lying on your left side during sleep is bad for your heart, putting extra pressure there. Unfortunately, that's my preferred side for sleep. Rarely, if I feel some palpitations, or irregular beating, I'll roll onto my back or right side. Sometimes lying on the right side will cause heartburn.

hmm interesting.. yea it may be nothing.. it could just be muscles/rib cage thats tweaked or something, i was just worrying as it felt right over/on my heart, and when i lay on that side my heart seems to protrude from my chest almost.. but im skinny enough that you can feel my ribs so that could explain that sensation.. and i never had it before, and worked out doing martial arts last night so maybe i tweaked something..

it just felt like when i layed on the left, like there was more pressure or weight on my heart and it was making it ache or something which worried me .. I sleep on the left side a lot and never felt that before..

i know that sleeping on the left side is supposed to be good for digestion but maybe bad for the heart ..

this weekend i had another thing happen, where two days in a row when i woke up in the morning I had an aching feeling in my solar plexus.. lasted for like 20-30 minutes then went away..

is that heart burn or acid reflux/hiatal hernia or something? I eat healthy, work out, etc..

im probably just worrying myself over something insignificant

It sounds as if it could be a symptom of high blood pressure.
A 24 holter monitor check on your BP would probably be best if you can pursuade your doctor to do the test.

Hey.. dont think its high BP.. ive measured it quite a bit lately and its always low/normal.

Measured it this morning and it was 101 over 70 or something.. if anything its too low.

Good news is the heart thing wasnt as bad last night.. it feels like its my heart but it may be a muscle in my rib cage, https://health.google.com/health/ref/Costochondritis

SO it seems the achey feeling has improved.. didnt really notice it when laying on left side last night..

however I have noticed it a few times through out the day, a few times after running up the stairs i noticed a slight aching sensation in my heart area..

but I dont have high blood pressure, im thin, I really doubt I have athlerosclerosis of the heart, as I said im skinny, and generally eat pretty healthy food.

When I was a kid I would get these "attacks" out of the blue where I had sharp stabbing pains in my heart for a minute or two, whenever I took a breath in, but then it would go away. I also remember a few years ago a doctor said I had a heart murmur.. but then the last time I had her listen to it she didnt notice anything apparently.

This is all completely new, just been happening the past week, and it started after 2 mornings of some kind of heart burn or aching feeling in my solar plexus.

Anything to be concerned about? It seems a bit better, but I like to exercise and now im afraid that im gonna hurt my heart if i get it beating too fast or something.

How can you have low blood pressure but a heart that seems to beat rapidly upon exertion and some achiness in the heart region?

The past few weeks I had an achey feeling in my liver (right side of chest/slightly lower), and a few little bouts of pain in my lower abdomen, then 2 mornings I woke up with aching in my central chest (solar) that lasted for maybe 20-30 minutes then dissapeared.

Then I worked out kinda intensely for like an hour monday, night, had a slight panicky moment that night then when going to bed first noticed this heart pounding, achey feeling over heart.. seems to have gotten better but still notice it during the day now sometimes. I feel like my nervous system is messed up, as I have dry mouth, dry skin, not sweating properly + orthostatic hypotension (light headed when I stand up).

if my nervous system was out of wack, that could effect my heart right, afterall the nervous system controls the heart just like every other part of the body.. if either the sympathetic or parasympathetic was dominating it could change the muscular contractions of the heart right? or maybe thers lack of oxygen/blood flow to my organs (in line with the blood pressure changes when standing) clearly blood/oxygen isnt being sent around the body evenly at all times
