Default One answer to health issue leads to another

Well after two years I finally found out why my teeth and jaws have been causing me pain and discomfort during detox. Particularly during taking Magnesium Chloride baths and MMS.

Readers familar with my posts may recall me mentioning this plight a couple of times. It was actually very simple. I grind my teeth... alot. If you have ever bitten into something too hard and felt the pain under your tooth you know the feeling I have been having. The constant gring and clenching has caused the nerves in the areas on the right where I gring the most. And as I have gottne older and the situation has solidified I have started to work around to the sides to the front.

So what has happened is that I have simply made those areas very sensitive, and of course the nerves being connected as they are sent the pain to a degree up my nose and round my jaw. When taking certain supplementation that would be ok for most people I have had pain due to the sensitivity of these places.

Now the good news is I have begun seeing an Osteopath who also specialises in cranila osteopathy. I can already after one session feel the teeth grinding has decreased in severity. I am clenching my jaw much less. However now I appera to be having some excrutiating pains in the right side of my mouth and jaw. I am hoping this will cease as the teeth gring stops and the nereves can recover. I really do not wish to think about having this for the rest of my life. But there are no guarantees.

But permemant or not I am in alot of pain right now and am looking for a natural non pharamceutical pain releif for this arwa of my mouth. Does anyone have any ideas? I also think the antifungal and magnesium supplements are having an affect so I shall cease these to see if I get any better without them agrrevating it.

I laid off all supplements except for multi vit and min and an oil supplement and that stopped nearly all of the pain. Im two sessions in now and we have been looking at other areas too. But basically my nerves are hyperactive and have to be told to settle down. This could take a while but Im quite optimistic. I had never even considered this so I am very pleased with results.

They make a mouth guard you can wear while you sleep to prevent damage to your teeth.

This is not an ideal solution, but will save your teeth until it can be resolved.

Im doing just that. But there are other areas of nerve tension in my body that are leading to all kinds of symtoms. Including I beleive overactive bowels. It will take time and yes I am going to get a mouth guard in 2 or so weeks.

Lodestar, for you nerves, check out SAMe. That helps me.

I'll bet Arrowind would have some homeopathic recommendations too.

You probably don't need anything strong. Just something to get you beyond this situation. It is too bad that magnesium is causing problems. That would have been my first recommendation. When I have mouth problems; like a possible infection to the sinuses, I use colloidal silver. I swish with it and spit it out. Then I also take about 2 tablespoons per every 2 hours for a day to see if that helps me. Normally it does. For soothing relief, I wash my mouth out with a quarter teaspoon of baking soda in a cup of warm water. For teeth grinding, well I just hope that does not happen to me.

Stressed, damaged, over fired nerves with a mostly physiological cause are difficult to deal with. Rest is often the best solution with elimination of the causative stress so the nerve can regenerate. But of course the stuff of nerve tissue is fats and B vitamins! So I would think that lots of good Omegas from fish and flax would help. Ask your doctor for vitamin B 12 shots, 1000mg, twice a week buy injection! He will balk but there is a fair amount of evidence that such dosage will regenerate nerve tissue and can help neuropathy and I had a bunch of writing on it at one time but did not take care to save it. ... And then take a high powered B supplement. Keep it up for at least 3 to 6 months months.

The main point stressed in the articles that I had about B12 was that no adverse side effects were found with mega dosage of B12.

I would want the methylcobalamin form of B12 in injection.

And of course homeopathy can help. But this one would require a few visits to a classical homeopath. Acupuncture also comes to mind.
