Default Osha root highest potency lowest cost.

Me and Janet we purchased osha root tincture 8oz. for $38.00 from Crescent Moon. They are located in Maine. The ratio is 80% alcohol, 20% water and 1 part osha root to 2 parts menstruum. So there is 4oz osha root in an 8oz. bottle

Default Osha root - precautions & warnings

Osha root is an interesting and useful supplement. However, women need to be aware of a serious caveat against ingesting it if pregnant or breast-feeding. The following is from webmd.com:

"Special Precautions & Warnings:
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: It's UNSAFE to take OSHA if
you are pregnant. It might start menstruation, and this might
cause a miscarriage. Avoid use.

It's not known if it's safe to use during breast-feeding.
Stay on the safe side and don't use it."

Read about it here (and click the "Side Effects" tab):

https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/in...tmono-959/osha

The following is a similar warning, with additional advice about how long to take it, from doctorshealthpress.com:

"A Hint of Caution
If taking Osha root for extended periods of time, it's a good idea to take a break every couple
of months or so. Even though it's not a prescription medicine, you don't want your body to
become immune to its medical benefits. Women who are pregnant or nursing should avoid the
herb, as it can cause uterine contractions."

Read about it here:

https://www.doctorshealthpress.com/f...-of-osha-root/

Also read the following from rxlist.com:

"ARE THERE SAFETY CONCERNS?

Osha might be safe for most adults.

Special Precautions & Warnings:

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
It's UNSAFE to take osha if you are pregnant.
It might start menstruation, and this might cause a miscarriage. Avoid use.

It's not known if it's safe to use osha during breast-feeding. Stay on the safe
side and don't use it."

Read about it here:

https: www.rxlist.com/osha/supplements.htm

With that said, if you are not a woman who is pregnant or breast-feeding, osha can provide you with some very useful health benefits.

Where I live this plant is over prescribed and horribly over harvested. The plant is endangered as a result of the above. Useful for lung/respiratory conditions especially colds but in terms of other potential uses there are better analogs out there. I'm not as hip to using it or recommending it because of how badly harvesting is managed. Good medicine but it's kind of like goldenseal: over harvested and over used even though other potential alternatives exist. Just my 10 cents.
