I haven't noticed any laxative properties about it at all. However, the dosage I'm taking is considered small 1200mg.

Do you have any experience with the tea?

You can buy a tea called shou wu chih from many oriental health food stores (comes as a prepared drink you mix 1 oz with a cup of water). tastes great (IMO).
