Thumbs up Goats milk

Goats milk is often available in many larger grocery stores. Kroger sells it.
A good health food store probably does too.
Also, if your wife has plenty of breast milk, which should be the case if she is
nursing frequently, she can use a breast pump to pump extra breast milk for
those times when the baby needs a substitute bottle. Use only sterile glass
bottles. My daughter did this when she returned to work when her baby was
8 weeks old.
Carrots are rather high in sugar content - Diabetics are warned about eating
too many of them.
Also , the suggest of finding a La Lache League group is an excellent one. I
belonged to one years ago when I breast-fed my first 2 children. 50 and 49
years ago. A truly great support system!
Good luck to you, your wife and your precious little new baby!

none of those suggest goat milk...they suggest soy?

i was talking to my wife about goat's milk....(she's a baby nurse) and she was freaking out about it....

but if you think about it it makes alot of sense....goats are closer to humans than cows and so is their milk....

i think the thing that scares her is that goats milk is not common...and there are hardly any places that have it....
So, lets take a product like soy milk, that is now a genetically modified food, blend it up, and mix it with a bunch of other chemicals, and call it formula. No matter that soy messes up the thyroid, and (I know Im gonna say this wrong) has estrogen like isoflavonoids, so if I understand this, we are feeding our babies estrogen when we feed them soy formula.... Do some research on soy before you feed it to your child. I havent read this article, but its a start...

My only question to your wife would be, man made products for your child to eat/drink or the original what God designed for babies to drink??? if it will keep a goat baby alive and healthy, surely it will keep your baby alive and healthy... You all live in houston, Get on the houston raw group, and you will find out how very common in houston it really is...we have quite a few dairies.. and if you would like, I live south of houston, you and your wife can come down and meet my grandson who has been raised on goats milk... I have an album in my profile, with pictures of my grandson. Does he look sickly to you.. Breast feeding is best.... pumping her milk to make sure she has extra for those long days is best... possible to get help for her during the day while you are working, so that she can breast feed, and in all actuality, if you, and the wife approach breast feeding right, the two other children will learn to appreciate the quiet time that mom and baby and they can have when mom breastfeeds.... But if you have to get away from the breast feeding goats milk is next in line.
