I have developed Beau's lines on both my big toes, but I dont have nor never have had those diseases.. I haven't been able to figure it out. Its been going on for a few years now. Otherwise my nails look real good.

White flecks on the nails indicate a severe emotional stress. You often see it on studenst under the gun at school or other family stresses, even from things like moving or getting married. It also indicates a silica deficiency and Jarrow biosil will get rid of it quickly

I noticed several days ago that my 4 year old had a white line across the entire pinky fingernail. It looked like the Mee's lines from the article ozzie posted.

Did more research and it could be trauma or liver disease. The internet scares me so much sometimes.

With little kids like that I would suspect trauma.... like an emotional shock. I would not worry about it too much.

Question

I have some very faint vertical lines on nails on my fingernails. I wonder if maybe I should take more vitamin A?

Hi EarlyBird I have verticle lines on my nails as well which has actually split at the top of the nail on my left thumb, I can only get it to a little bit above the top of my thumb and then it splits, it has been happening for a while now. I noticed that it could be an Iron deficiency, so I might get my Iron levels checked I think.
