In just ten months, the United States managed to transform an 82 year-old Catholic nun and two pacifists from non-violent anti-nuclear peace protestors accused of misdemeanor trespassing into federal felons convicted of violent crimes of terrorism. Now in jail awaiting sentencing for their acts at an Oak Ridge, TN nuclear weapons production facility, their story should chill every person concerned about dissent in the US.

I'd rather meander for the prevention than race for the cure.

It's sad but they had to know of some risk. This country and our court system is no cake walk. Trumping charges and spin is the norm.

Who, exactly keeps building on the charges? One prosecutor called them a potential “danger to the community” and asked that all three be kept in jail until their trial. (I wonder who that jerk is).

First from trespassing, now to damage of property ( Department of Energy (DOE) agent swore out a federal criminal complaint against the three for damage to federal property, a felony punishable by zero to five years in prison, under 18 US Code Section 1363) then SABOTAGE if they didn't plead guilty to a at least one felony...

There is some definite problems here. Where are their rights as citizens of this great old country? Guess we shouldn't say anything bad about other countries court systems huh? Seems to me someone is getting way out of control.

The times they are a changin. And it ain't for good.

I think the problem is embarrassment that this could be done. Let's show them and throw them in jail as terrorists to hide our big mistakes. This is so wrong.

Obviously we need to throw the book at these �hardened terrorists�. Imagine the gall of these individuals breaking into a high security area armed with bibles, written statements, peace banners, spray paint, flower, candles, bread, and even wire cutters.

These are clearly dangerous people why they showed what a complete joke the security around this plant was. For that they must be made to pay dearly.
