Default MIT scientist says high in sulfur

I linked to interview of Dr. Stephanie Seneff and she said coconut oil is high in sulfur and this is missing from our bodies and allows the body to produce cholesterol sulfate which is highly protective against bacteria and virus invasions.

The main source though is the sun, fish, and eggs but people need to eat a higher fat diet low in carbs. Great interview.

Behind every published article in a journal there are about 1,000 articles that stand behind it on a related aspect of the topic that never makes it to a journal for a wide variety of reasons.

When you read a published article, especially within one of the leading journals always ask yourself... Why was this article allowed to be published?... some journals are more altruistic than others and JAMA is likely the worst... while the Townsend Letter is likely the best as well as some journals on clinical nutrition... which dam few doctors read, unless their practice revolves around good nutrition, as it should.
Nail on the head.

I can't see any of the Mercola articles y'all have posted, because he wants to make me subscribe. No thanks.

There is no significant amount of thiol precursors or thiols in coconut. So I don't see where she is close to being right about that. It is true that sulfur is excellent and protective. Garlic and onions are two of the best sources, but coconut doesn't have very much.

It is that coconut has 8 different acids which control a wide variety of bacteria and fungi.
