Default AUNT IS BETTER

I posted a yr or so ago a thread titled alzheimer's my ass. Went to see my aunt today who was diagnosed a yr ago (maybe a little longer) with alzheimers. She is better. Which leads me to believe that alzheimers is way overdiagnosed. How did she beat it:

HER KIDS TOOK HER OFF MOST OF HER MEDS AND SHE WENT FROM INCOHERENT TO NORMAL

I guess I have the opposite view, because I know too many older people with alzheimers. I'm not talking about diagnosed, but full fledged AD. It's really sad when you can't communicate with these people and after seeing so many people with AD, I'm more nervous about getting AD in my older years than stoke or heart attack.

Doesn't eating more mustard prevent AD? Thought I read the only country that has drastically lower rates was india and it's believed that turmeric is the reason.

Im glad she is doing well Saved!!!! I have a few friends who parents went thru the same thing.... when they went off all the meds, they were back to their old selves... I know one gentleman was diagnosed with it, and then was put on hospice...while on hospice, they stopped all his meds... He improved so much that they took him off hospice with no signs of Alzheimers.... the doctor tried to put him back on the meds, and his daughter threw a fit, there was no way she was going to let her dad go thru that again

Amazing! But I don’t find it too surprising.
Of course I suspect that her doctors “cure” would have been to just prescribe even more drugs.

I always wonder when I see someone taking a fist full of pills just what the cumulative effect of this chemical cocktail will actually be? Does each pill really work independently of each other or is it brewing some sort of toxic soup?

Mad Scientest, each pill does not work independently and when i see people on 10 pills a day (I know one guy in his 70s who is on over 20 pills a day). If you need something, fine, but most pills can be dumped. My cousin goes to a guy who was an MD and came down with TERMINAL METASTIZED melanoma. He went macrobiotic and was cured. Went back to school and became a chiroprachor and still has his practice, but will not use drugs.
